Paul Oakenfold's classic, 'Southern Sun' returns in the second installment of remixes, this time bringing you 4 awesome trance remixes from Fluoro favourites Thomas Datt and Angry Man, Orkidea and Paul Webster. This monstrous remix package kicks off with Thomas Datt whose productions have been a staple of head honcho Oakenfold's worldwide sets and radio shows. His uplifting touches with a subtle nod to Tiësto's timeless remix are a must for any trance fan. The hugely in demand Angry Man ups the pace and adds his trademark dirty, darkness into a massive acidic monster that has seen early support from the 140 orientated djs! Any long running trance fan will know Orkidea, whose music has been gracing clubs for nearly 20 years. His Tribute Mix adds a strong, punchy, groove orientated version to the package. Last but not least is Paul Webster who harks back to his original tech orientated sound and gives up a deep, driving and moody feel that polishes off the collection perfectly. A perfect compliment to the mixes from Moe Aly, Cold Blue and Paul Thomas earlier this year.

"Another track that I have covered as part of the final line up is the massive single from Quench called “Dreams”. I used to hammer this track back in the day. It was originally released in 1993 on Infectious Records and I included it on the second Essential Mix I ever recorded for BBC Radio 1 in March 1994."

"Originally released in 1994 on Cheeky Records – “Hold That Sucker Down” by The OT Quartet (Rollo from Faithless and Rob D) was a massive chart hit worldwide. The riff is definitely one of the most instantly recognizable melody progressions in the history of electronic music. I used to play this relentlessly – not only back in the day when it first came out but again and again over the years when various decent remixes have emerged. Covering the record I wanted to do something totally different so decided to take a deeper spacey techno vibe. This version is on the Trance Mission album and there’s a killer trance remix from Johnny Yono on CD2 (a bonus CD of exclusive remixes) and we are preparing a massive line up of remixes for the single release – out in September on Perfecto."

Worked on this track with Jonathan Sigsworth back in 2012.  I recorded the guitars and the basslines, and he took care of the Synths Pianos and drums.  One of my favourite filmprojects so far.
