In a world awash with copycats and fast lanes to success, here’s a producer and DJ who takes on a different route. Italy’s Paul Rays blazes his own trail in the world of electronic dance music. After many years of ghost producing and using his talents to help others climb the ladder of success, he’s now decided to chase his own dreams. With a sound that walks the fine line of deep-house, progressive and future house, he sets his own boundaries. With an open mind and a determined heart to live out his one, big passion, Paul Rays is ready to let his music be heard, shared and felt. 

After years of classical training, Paul was caught by the alluring bass and melody of dance music. He followed his instinct, bought his first DAW and took the first steps at producing his own tracks. Next to that, he took on a production study and followed several DJ courses. And he learned, grew and never stopped improving his knowledge, techniques and quality of sounds. Being a natural, combined with hard work, made Paul’s work stand out. Before he knew, he was producing for other DJ’s, in all different electronic dance music genres. Feeling slightly insecure, it was a friend of Paul who made him decide to stop hiding and go chase his own dreams. And so, he challenged himself to take his music to the next level and share his emotions with the crowd, making his tracks the soundtracks to their lives. 

And that challenge has worked out more than fine. In April 2016, he released his debut track ‘Moon’ on his very own Octev Records. A deep-house track loaded with emotion, supported by the likes of Lost Frequencies, Sam Divine, Shiba San and many more. With the next original, the slightly more uplifting deep-house tune of ‘Tangent Universe’, lined up for release on Octev Record, a weekly residency at a local bar in his hometown of Fossano and plenty more exciting ventures for the future ahead, it’s only a matter of time until Paul Rays provides us with the next translation of his inner music. You might want to listen up.
