This is my closing set from the Herlys Burning Man event held in Norway in September 2021. 

It was a pretty wild experience playing at 0430 on a Sunday morning, in a Papaya-themed church, to a crowd that did not want the party to end.

OMG events are always epic. Everyone on the dancefloor is fully present and into the music, making it perhaps one of the most special event concepts I have played at. 

Hopefully, this recording will give you a taste of the vibe that night and perhaps I will see you at an OMG event sometime in the future :)

After what was a long full night of Dark and smexy Techno and Progressive sounds, I felt like bouncing around to a little Ghetto and some funky sounds. Don’t mind the technical difficulty at 1:01:20. Didn’t stop us from bouncing. Something different and probably my favourite by far. Breaks, Vocals, and a lot of jumping around.

Infinite thank yous to Farah and the psyLush crew for everything! What an incredible event:) Thankful to have been apart of it!  Wiggle Room looked and sounded great, the deco and visuals were amazing. Great sets and performances all around, felt so good to be together again in person! Hope to be back soon < 3 
Also HUGE thank you to Steve (Dreamstate Seven) for recording everything live, cutting up the sets and sending it back so fast:) was cool to hear some of the crowd in the recoding too

Hallo der Björn/pjontec hier, Marco hat mich gebeten vielleicht noch etwas persönliches dazu zu schreiben.

Also, hoffentlich wird jetzt kein Roman daraus, fang ich am Anfang an und versuche mich auf das Wesentliche zu beschränken.

Als ich mich Ende 2012 bei SoundCloud angemeldet habe, hatte ich nicht den Hauch einer Ahnung was für ein Fass ich damit öffnen werde !!

Zuerst hatte ich, außer wie man die Musik hier anstellt, nix geblickt, inzwischen stecke ich bis über die Schultern tief in der Materie und 
erkenne andere Accounts meistens auf den ersten Blick !!

Dann am 13. März 2014, der erste Podcast von TonElite, den ich seiner Zeit über Facebook kennenlernen durfte, er legt immer noch sehr erfolgreich unter seinem Bürgerlichen Namen Martin Saupe @msaupe auf !!

Mein Wunsch war es immer die DJ´s, die mir Tag für Tag das Leben mit ihrer Musik versüßt haben, meine "Helden", persönlich kennen zu lernen !!

Das hat, wenn auch nur oberflächlich, mit dem einen oder andern DJ geklappt,
bis Marco eines schönen Tages meiner Einladung gefolgt ist und mich besucht hat und kurz darauf dann auch Stephanie mit ihrem Freund Randolf !!

Wir haben uns dann alle 4 ein paar Vollmonde später bei Stephanie und Randy getroffen, wobei das oben verlinkte Set entstanden ist und wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit zusammen !!

Ich selbst bin weder DJ noch Produzent, sondern lediglich ein Musik Liebhaber,
der wie die Jungfrau zum Kind, zum Podcasten gekommen ist, Blut geleckt hat und dran geblieben ist !!

Ihr dürft mir glauben, das es am Anfang sehr schwierig war, DJ´s zu finden, die bereit waren für eine Seite mit kaum nennenswerter Lobby, Musik aufzunehmen, es war wie Klinkenputzen meistens ohne Antwort oder mit Absagen !!

Heute kann und darf ich mir aussuchen wessen Musik ich veröffentliche, ich bin zu tiefst dankbar dafür und freue mich sehr, Euch beiden wieder mit dieser Wundervollen Extralangen Mixtur an Bord zu haben !!

Hier noch ein Ausschnitt aus Marcos Nachricht, was mir sehr schmeichelt:

"Das war großartig und dieses Set haben wir Dir gewidmet, ohne Dich gäbe es uns nicht.
Du hast uns zusammen gebracht und musikalisch passen wir wie die Faust auf`s Auge.
Du hast Dir echt 6h am Stück angehört?
Wir mussten öfters lachen, weil wir wussten dass Du Dich quälen wirst :D

Hey people! How goes it?

I think this is the place where I'm supposed to write about myself or something, so here goes 😝

I'm an endlessly curious seeker of spiritual and scientific wisdom, part-time DJ, reluctant business leader (joking I love it really, plus it pays dem bills), technology-realist/nerd and vegan/sober wannabe who believes that utopia is possible. I am almost constantly trying to figure out how to be of service to society. And I believe that love is the answer.

Who I am not is Paul White the fantastic beatmaker from Croydon, England. He makes sweet tunes and I have heard he's a lovely guy. I on the other hand only play other people's tunes (for now). 

What have I been up to the last 20 years since I started disc-jockeying or whatever they called it back then? Well I helped start a couple of music initiatives: 

Bassline Boutique - an electro/breaks/bass event which had a successful 5 year run in Oslo. 

Morning Beat - now officially Norway's longest running community focused sober morning party. 

I also held down a residency at Oslo's seminal techno club The Villa from 2011-2018 but I haven't been asked to play there recently, probably because I'm an old git or no longer relevant or something... 😝

So, what next? Well the plan is to supply you guys with some nice beats on the regular going forward. I won't promise, but I will try!

And as I like to have my cake and eat it, the mixes I upload will contain all kinds of sounds. It's hard to lock yourself down in this rich and blessed cornucopia we call life!
