I Really Like You (Quick Hitter)

Growing up in the German suburbs, PaulYesYes lived two musical lives.
One was pure instinct. A kid full of unfiltered energy, chasing thrill, sound, and expression. Drawn to rock and later funk, soul, jazz, and fusion, he started drumming before he understood theory, creating from raw emotion, not rules. By ten, he was performing professionally, lighting up jazz clubs, rock gigs, concert halls, and local festivals with a presence that turned heads. At the same time, he explored house and EDM, vibed to David Guetta, DJed high school parties, and looked for ways to record his own tracks.

The second life emerged at sixteen, when he began studying jazz seriously. Focused on discipline and craft, he trained with top mentors, won national jazz awards, and performed at major festivals in jazz, pop, and hip-hop. He toured clubs and arenas as an in-demand drummer. His first band, the Paulbright Experience, won Germany’s biggest newcomer jazz award and was an important part of his journey.

In 2023, the two worlds collided. After a sold-out Germany tour and great response on socials with his Paulbright, Beka & Gerl live sessions, he moved to Los Angeles to start a new chapter.

Now, PaulYesYes merges it all: seasoned musicianship, beats, and euphoric energy into bold dance music built to move people.
