Pau Roca, siemrpe ha destacado en la escena DJ barcelonesa, con su fiesta Libido y los sellos Escola y Bons Records, quien se ha consolidado como un gran coleccionista / DJ y productor de discos de la zona. 

“Hope” es una pieza maestra  con tintes downtempo para los amantes del retro-house atmosférico que nos transporta sin duda, a lo mejor de los 90s. 

El EP "Euphoria" sale el 2 de agosto en vinilo y el 16 de agosto en formato digital. Obra del ilustrador Òscar Medina.

To honor the 17 years of our beloved party that will say goodbye this Friday at Nitsa, we have produced a super limited edition of a 10” Dubplate that includes an edit by Pau Roca and another one by DJ Bruce Lee (audios in the images) that have not been previously released. A record, each one different and hand painted, that also includes a book/fanzine with articles from friends that are important for the Libido but also texts from DJs, as well as photos, the party poster and some more surprises that you will discover when you get it.

The emergence of a new wave of European producers has led to the culmination of an enticing array of enchanting interpretations of dance focussed music. Pau Roca has been critically praised by the likes of Sonar for his involvement in the Barcelona house scene in which he is a hugely active member. As a journalist his ability to network and determine the variety amidst people has led him into exploring music from across the world.

Pau Roca has risen as the new “house master” of Barcelona, as described in a review of the Sónar festival.

He has been playing regularly at such festivals as Mutek, Sónar, Brunch In the Park, DGTL, and BAM. As head of  the vinyl-only Bons Records, he released records by likes of Doc L. Junior, Philou Louzolo, and Michael & Jackson. His sets run the gamut of musical history without any complexes or prejudices, paying homage to disco, boogie, and above all, American-influenced house music at his Libido parties at Nitsa Club. After 11 years, these parties have become truly mandatory for any lover of dance music in Barcelona, and has hosted Amp Fiddler, Dan Shake, Jovonn, and Jeremy Underground amongst many others. 

As a producer, Pau Roca had a surprise hit in 2016 with Garvey City, a track included in the first release of the enigmatic Black Money label. In 2018 he released a solo EP which includes four edits/reworks on Los Angeles’ Pleasure Of Love label.

"On this podcast I tried to mix some club focused releases that have been in and out of my record bag in the past months. As I love to do in my DJ sets, I’ve selected some records (mostly house music) that I’ve bought recently and also some old records that are equally incredible. You’ll find Sotofett doing what he does best, a nice pearl (and cheap record!) made by Osunlade, and also the Wheel one which is one of my all-time secret weapons. I used two old MK2 Technics and my E&S DJR 400 mixer, and as you’ll see you can find all records on Discogs for a reasonable price. Hope you enjoy it!" -- Pau Roca
