When we dance the third eye we intend to have a dance of in-sight so we begin by formulating a question around something in our life that we are seeking more clarity on. As we breathe and dance into the third eye we open into a no-mind state, a silent peaceful place. Our higher intuitive mind can be heard when the mental chatter ceases, so that is why we focus on a no-mind state for the dance.

The focus of the third eye dance is to integrate a deeper aware-ness of the life issues and patterns in all of the chakras. It is a dance of integration rather than purification. It is a dance to open up to the new evolutionary ways of being. We dance to gain clarity and insight, as cultivating the third eye aligns us to divine mind and higher consciousness.

‘Dhawa Sunrise’ is an exclusive compilation based around the themes of future-thinking and/or ethnic inspired texture-heavy music. The aim of the album was to fund equipment for and create a Science Lab at the Shree Prabhat Higher Secondary School in Dhawa, Gorkha, Nepal.
Since the Earthquake that struck Nepal on 25/04/2015 though, Dhawa is in ruins, and there is no school left to help, but there are many families and people in need of aid. We will be changing the cause, more info to follow.

Embarking on their second collaborative endeavor, the Italian beat makers and multi- instrumentalists, Halfred and Lo.Renzo further solidify their close working relationship with their first EP as Jakare. Released on Desert Trax, Jakare’s ‘Apu’ EP is the culmination of all that’s dear about both artists’ creative vision, blending intricate technical design with melodic tenderness and biophilic atmospherics. The artists’ choice to pursue these 
new avenues of shamanic downtempo music reflects their willingness to start afresh under a new alias and pursue experimentation without the pre- conceived associations with their solo projects. 
In the course of four songs, the duo paint a truly vivid picture of ancient life in nature and taking inspiration from different modern cultures; from the slight nod to the bluesy Latin American marshes of ‘Cleansing’, Andean flavors on ‘Glass Temple’, the instrumental grooves of ‘GloBall’ and aquatic night time swims in ‘Moon Howl’, the EP stays consistent in its overall aesthetic and harmoniousness throughout. The duo utilize charango, classic guitars, electric guitar, pan flute, shakers, percussions to bring the organic sound, while relying on their masterful sound design techniques to develop 
cinematic field-recording- based atmospherics.

The entire Desert Trax family has come together around the ambitious new remix project for Poranguí.

Multi-instrumentalist, storyteller, and world-bridger Poranguí Carvalho McGrew, whose personal background is as varied as his musical library has amassed a stunning collection of songs over the years, and Desert Dwellers' extended family is helping bring his originals to more people through a double album of remixes as powerful as its source material.

Desert Dwellers themselves open up the new collection, Poranguí Remixes Vol I, and give way to new downtempo house producer, Spice Trader. As part of his travels and musical adventures, Poranguí has been a part of the Liquid Bloom live band, and now the project brings to life a reimagining of “Oxum.” Other Desert Trax favorites getting in on the action include TRIBONE, Stratusphere, Drumspyder, and Shamans Dream & Geometrae. An unlikely combo is even forged between Mandala Affect and dela Moon, resulting in a gorgeous, almost liquid drum & bass but silkier take on “Stardust.”

Another entire second volume of Poranguí remixes are under wraps for now, but fans will be able to dive into this first assembly July 12th.

Presenting the latest Outtallectuals compilation, ‘Almanac Lullabies’, featuring a collection of compositions by the label’s international roster. Pertaining to the label’s distinct global flavour and taking influence from the cultures of the Near East and Asia, the album is a largely collaborative effort which utilises 18 of the label’s beatmakers and multi-instrumentalists to merge cross-genre electronic and traditional music in their own innovative rights.
