Release Info: 
One year on since the release of their latest EP, “Rituals”, German flagship duo Township Rebellion returns to SVT with “혼돈 과 질서” (“Chaos and Order” in Korean). Clad in some kind of sci-fi-indebted dystopian - yet no hopeless - scenario, the twofold EP summons ambiguous visions of a world caught in limbo between technologically advanced societies bound to collapse and ambitions for a brighter future through enhanced levels of empathy and understanding that long to surface.  

First is “Chaos”, a slo-blooming roller that steadily swells towards proper club epicness as its arpeggios unfold. Tapping into 80s-laced, Moroder-friendly Italo with a train-like electro-swing for the main conductor, the cut reels out like the soundtrack to a bumpy otherworldly dream where shapes, colours and sounds entangle in a cosmogonic ballet of sorts. Flip sides and here is the steely, yoking counterpart to TR’s free-flowing opener, “Order”. Flexing its metal muscles and giving maximum room to martial kicks and AI-implemented programming, the track reels out like a brooding call-to-arms, merging thunderous echoes with a truly enslaving gridlocked groove.

Following a series of self-released gems and the well-received 'Never Stop' single, featured on Solomun's Diynamic label, Rose Ringed's journey continues with a stunning two-track offering that showcases his evolving artistic depth and sonic finesse.

Reconciliation, a track that has been a staple in recent sets of Voorn, stands as a poignant testament to the power of forgiveness and moving forward. Through a harmonious blend of orchestral vocals, sweeping strings, and an expansive synth melody, Rose Ringed crafts an emotionally resonant soundscape that invites listeners to let go of the past and embrace a new chapter.

On the flip side, What If delves into the labyrinth of human uncertainty, fear, and hope regarding the future. On “Candyflip”, the third sneak peek of his forthcoming “Trip to Sanity” album, Oliver Koletzki shifts gear and puts the pedal to the metal. The EP’s title track is pure forward momentum with its neon synth euphoria that rushes over a muscular body, generously pairing menacing bass with percussive storytelling. Next up, the arppaggio-driven “Mantra for Bora” settles somewhere between Psy-Tech and Italo, craftily working tropes of both into a climax of total dissolution. No matter the elements, one thing’s clear – Koletzki is ready to overtake. “Chasing Holes” then literally flips the candy on its head, taking off on auto-pilot, fueled by flamenco guitar licks and funky hand drums a-top a strong house groove. A word of advice, fellow ravers: Buckle up for a joyride through the depth of night – sunrise is on the horizon.

Spectrum is thrilled to welcome back Swiss producer KHAINZ, who follows up his stunning debut release 'The Drift' with another scintillating double offering - 'Complications' and 'The Answer To Everything'.

'Complications' lays the foundation with its low-slung groove and rattling synths as the track prowls the dancefloor. On the flip, KHAINZ delivers 'The Answer To Everything.' A bold statement indeed. Its deep, bubbling bassline provides a strong foundation, while an ascending melody adds an element of anticipation. Sweeping strings rush through, creating an atmospheric and emotional breakdown and as the track unfolds, rolling snares drive the momentum, culminating in a powerful crescendo.

KHAINZ continues to craft some of the finest uplifting and momentous soundtracks of 2023. What comes next? Watch this space.
