Zhanna suddenly became afraid of any sound.

The rustle of the old maple tree that have been growing outside her window as long as she can remember.

The cough of a neighbor who went out for a smoke on the stairwell at two o'clock in the morning.

The creak of her old Ikea bed.

The noise of an flying airplane over her hometown.

Drunken cries of men returning from a construction site on Zheleznodorozhnaya street to their hostel next to a car service.

Even the notification sound of the incoming message, to which she was terribly reluctant to answer (but she answered anyway), frightened her.

The only sounds that doesn’t cause horror for Zhanna, but immersed her in a light trance (just like a powerful sedative), and gave her hope for a brighter future (just like three shots of vodka), were the melodies of the Svetiritm mix for the radio: 5/8.

Before Igor Glushko became a prominent DJ in the local scene, he spent considerable time contributing to the Ukrainian capital’s club life in other ways. Whether acting as assistant editor of the country’s only electronic music magazine at the time or promoting and organizing his own events, Igor has been at the forefront of what has become one of the brightest and most prolific scenes in Eastern Europe. As a promoter and event organizer, Glushko has brought in such prominent names as Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock, Mathew Jonson, Convextion, Peter Van Hoesen, Levon Vincent, Move D, Prosumer, and of course many more, who came to Ukraine for the first time only thanks to Glushko and his team. But it wasn’t until 2010 that Igor became an important player behind the decks himself.

DJing aside, Igor is also known nowadays as being co-founder of Rhythm Büro, the essential techno initiative in Kiev that brings the genre’s most forward thinking minds to various original locations across the city. Glushko is also credited as being head honcho of the recently established record label of the same name. Every few months Rhythm Büro attracts hundreds and thousands of visitors to their events that combine huge line-ups (featuring artists as diverse as Actress, Donato Dozzy, Ulwhednar, and Artefakt), original settings that range from film studios to forest locations, and visual arts.

For example for Fabric London and Block 9 at Glastonbury festival, Bill Brewster’s Lowlife night at Corsica Studios and Aficionado Boat party at Electric Elephant in Croatia and played at the usual spots: Vilnius, Zürich, Oslo, Berlin, Hong Kong, Paris, Hanoi, Munich, Krakow, Zagreb, Belgrade, Basel, Parma, Milan, Hamburg, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn etc. 
He continuously creates mixes for Testpressing, Noncollective, The Growing Bin, Racket Racket, LN-CC in London, GDS.FM, Rinse FM, NTS Live, Noise In My Head & SANPO Disco in Australia and many more.
