Techno / Minimal / Tech House

A bit more deep and trippy than my usual Tech House Mixes, for sure. But it was the darkest hour on the last night of Antaris Project 2014. So those who know and have danced to my music will enjoy this :)

Tasteful selection of contemporary music mixed by Almond Lama and Disandat, two siblings in two capitals. Beats, grooves and melodies around 120 BPM in 120 minutes. Tune in on 23rd July 2014 Wednesday 8pm CET on the Chill channel.

ALMOND LAMA hailing from Szeged, Hungary founder and manager of alloyed.net a loose group of individuals, promoters, DJs, producers, visual artists intended to create socially integrated audio-visual experiences for a wide audience. Himself actively contributing as DJ, promoter and visual artist in Budapest, Hungary and London, Britain. His actions wether its playing or managing promotion duties are based on a mix of passion, attitude, precision, creativity and human spirit. Musically would be a more appropriate approach to describe him via sounds from dub across deep to a touch of hypnotic tech rather than sticking to genres.

DISANDAT (Gabor Halasz, 1987) was born in southern Hungary's sunny and beautiful Szeged. Co-founder and Manager of alloyed.net, a collaboration between him, his brother and like-minded artists. Working alongside local talents and international artists alloyed.net hosts many unique club nights, warehouse parties in Budapest and London since 2009 (Sonus at Lumen, KoMA,Above Zero, Last Minute). 
Gabor has always been attracted to sounds that describe and set feelings, being influenced first by his father's old records like Kraftwerk, Jean - Michelle - Jarre and Pink Floyd, passion for both technology and music leads him on a discovery through electronic music. Buys his first vinyl when 17 and soon becomes an everyday visitor at local record shops. After finishing high school he moves to Budapest where he holds regular guest appearances at Tilos Radio, and has the chance to play on one of the capitals most well know club nights called Rewind.
In 2008 relocating to London, UK brings him new experiences and a different prospective on music and life, focusing on slow more hypnotic grooves infused with evolving atmospheric sounds and genres like deep & dub techno, house and electronica. 
In 2012 he starts off his first London project called Above Zero a monthly sunday daytime terrace party held at The Light Bar in Shoreditch, with guests like Patrick Zigon, Alex Celler, Luke Solomon, Jay Bliss and Jordan Peak.

MARFU DARK MINIMAL TECHNO 18 NOVEMBER 2014

It's safe to say that Desert Dwellers are the most OG desert DJs that we know. In fact, Treavor Moontribe was one of the founding members of Moontribe Collective, the original community of California desert dancers who've been gathering under the full moon since 1993. We owe a ton of our inspiration to Moontribe and we might even go so far to say there wouldn't be a Desert Hearts without our founding fathers of the desert scene.

While we've had Treavor Moontribe absolutely kill it for us in the past, it's his ultra psychedelic Desert Dwellers project with partner Amani Friend that really made international waves. Predominantly a downtempo project, we first heard about a super rare techno / tech house set performed by Desert Dwellers through our partner Kristoff. And he just wouldn't stop raving about it...

Honestly we had absolutely no idea what to expect from a techno set by Desert Dwellers other than the good word of one of our partners. Their set was the one true wildcard on our lineup and it ended up being one of the most radical sets of the weekend. With the first 1.5 hours of the set being all original material, Desert Dwellers pulled off one of the best sets we've ever heard at Desert Hearts.

With a heartfelt nod to those who paved the way for us, we hope you enjoy Live @ Desert Hearts- Desert Dwellers - 018 as much as we do. <3

Here are some classics that I have always liked a lot...it's more the "tekky" kind of psychedelic dance music and it's rather a combined dj set of all my music projects ;)

Some of those tracks were done before your time and I urge you to check out more of Igneous Sauria and Krumelur in case you have never heard of them. You might be familiar with the rest.
 
It is not music from Glitchy.Tonic.Records at all, but this serves another purpose then our normal mission. This mix is supposed to remind of goodies we played like 5-10 years ago :)
