With 'Supersonic' we welcome Pavlin Petrov to Hydrogen. Pavlin who really needs no further introduction, makes his long-awaited debut on the label, by bringing us a delightful slice of spring vibes titled 'Supersonic'. 

The original track kicks things off nicely with its melancholic moodiness shining through as we meander effortlessly through sun inspired melodies and the deep drums, while the sultry chords sit wonderfully on top, adding an extra layer of depth and function. The track continues to build on a solid foundation of tough percussive grooves and bass-lines. 'Supersonic' is an accomplished piece of work that highlights, that Pavlin is a true master of his craft.

Lily Pita, famed for her intricate and refined production delivers a cool driving take. Her rework creates tension from the word go, as the atmospheric vibe subtly keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow, creating an air of sophistication. "Essential stuff!"

Next up is Teodor G., known for his polished sound, who keeps the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general warmth all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear, yet sounding fresh - This mystical touch up takes the energy levels up a notch, but increases the melancholy with stripped back and lucid elements at the same time, before the luscious pads grace the rework changing the vibe and creating a blanket of warmth that wraps around the effected groove.

With 'Supersonic' Pavlin Petrov really shows that there're no boundaries, as this beautiful melodic gem guides you to a full-on club laden, arpy melodic hug of a release that will cause many smile induced moments! Fresh off the back of his last EP titled Another World alongside Graham Lloris, Pavlin Petrov returns to solo mode with the impressive, and intriguingly titled, Introvert Time. Hailing from Bulgaria, Pavlin grew up listening to music by Jean Michelle Jarre, Vangleis and Enigma. He started producing in 2005 with a keen interest in ambient before he got more into progressive house. Since then he mixes his tracks with an ambient atmosphere which is essential for progressive house. He likes to experiment with every new track and express that deep and dark feeling dedicated to his unique style. Over the last 5 or 6 years he has released a plethora of music on various labels including Mystic Carousel Records, KP Recordings, Beat Block Records, Suffused Music as well as some excellent EP’s on Bonzai Progressive among others. On top of this he is a very much in demand artist on the remix circuit. Always great to have his new material drop in, he never disappoints.

Pavlin takes us on a much deeper journey with Introvert Time. Right from the off we’re locked in to the infectious groove which is made up of solid beats, lush basses and seriously chunky synth hits. While the title might suggest some reservations, this track certainly does not hold back as it delivers a bold, brash sound creating a deep progressive vibe. Perfect fodder for the late-night floors no doubt.

Music Is Everything centres around a pure, organic groove filled with warm analogue basses and metallic synth riffs. Leading the way, we have a tight drum section which is complimented by minimal percussions. Muddy bass tones take us deep into the sound as those grizzly synths add that special, unique groove. Cool vocals laden with FX add character but the main focus here is taking the listener deeper and deeper, an absolute must have for the darker venues.

Chunky beats drive the sound as a lush, chugging bassline locks us in. Big synth hits and sinister voices add depth, while on the break, contrasting elements create a surreal atmosphere.
