A mix of some raw angel material I've been brewing for a while. Choral ambience and a lo-fi marinade.

Raw Angel Material - Chapel Mix

Inspired by the supersaws in Sophie Xeon's 'Is It Cold In The Water?', this track was made over several months between nights I spent staring at yellow wallpaper. My work often sits in this perennial state of remaining unfinished; not just because bringing a piece of music to completion is difficult, but because my methodology is cyclical and composing structure out of nonsense requires a willingness to make the music end. I wish it wouldn't end, and I imagine heaven as a place where it persists indefinitely, where each iterant wave or ray of light could both contain and elide the meaning of the whole, and things could be done while remaining undone. As with any work, there's so much I imagined this could be. But I can't let it sit on my computer anymore, so here it is, unfinished.  

The name of this piece is borrowed from Neon Yang's eponymously titled novel.
