Aetha began her musical career in Lublin, where she began playing and promoting activities, largely focused on the psytrance scene under the pseudonym Jot. Over time, the love for classic groove techno sounds resulted in the creation of a new alias - Aetha. Her activities and style of playing under these aliases were noticed by the largest clubs and festivals in Poland and abroad, she performed alongside the leading names of the techno and psytrance scenes, and in 2019, Aetha was honored with an invitation to Tresor (@tresorberlin) for the New Faces series.

She is the co-founder of projects such as FEED, Vultur and Mandala Bookings (@mandalabookings). She joins the managerial staff at the Szpitalna 1 (@szpitalna1), where she is a resident. Polish ambassador of the Croatian Modem Festival (@mo_dem), as the first woman from Poland to appear in the line up of both stages. She has been a friend of the Instytut Festival (@instytuttechno) for several years, where she regularly performs at events organized under the Institute's brand, and as part of their school, the Institute of Sound runs workshops in Krakow, training several dozen young adepts of DJ art. 

She also collaborated with brands such as Goadupa and Egodrop, ran a secret place in the basement of Krakow called Kinowa, and dealt with bookings at STK47. Outside Poland, it could also be heard in Berlin, London, Milan, as well as in Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Croatia.

The next Far Blue concept is composed by Arutani, an artist that we have been admiring for a long time now. For this special mix, he has created 16 original tracks that blend ambient, deep house, minimal, electronica, downtempo and anything in between. The mix flows between smooth, atmospheric soundscapes and deeper rhythms, creating a unique music experience, that we are proud to share with you.

‘This mixtape is inspired by the reflection of what place do we hold in the universe, capturing the sense of self and purpose while feeling adrift, a state of curiosity as well as surrender. Being "lost in orbit" also suggests a peaceful surrender to the unknown, floating freely without the need of staying still, embracing the beauty of not having all the answers.’

i was so focused on finishing new tunes for this year's edition that i arrived late to kater blau, set up as fast as possible and forgot to press record :-) thankfully, with the help of kater's recording i was able to salvage something. i hope you enjoy this frankenstein recreation of that lovely day in berlin. it's mostly new and unreleased music of mine. massive thanks to dear @mira_kater for having me once again.

this set was an experiment that we developed for the FOLIE à DEUX event organised by @caleesi & @sarahkreis from @circlesandstones. it's three hours of our own music combined in a live setting with synthesizers, drum machines and so on. we hope you enjoy this experimental fusion as much as we did! it features a bunch of upcoming unreleased music as well. huge thanks to the lovely crowd, artists and our favourite venue in leipzig <3

MANOID - Truth 

MANOID (@manoid-music)  returns to Hafendisko this October with his debut long player ‘Truth’, comprising ten original tracks from the Polish producer and live act.

Rising producer MANOID has been steadily developing his unique approach to electronic music for the past few years, releasing his first tracks in 2014 and co-producing material for fellow Polish artist Pola Rise, whilst taking his live act across the globe to The Netherlands, South Korea,Iceland and more.

Here though, we see him marking a milestone in his career with his debut album for hafendisko, the Hamburg-based sublabel of hfn music, which has played host to music from Trentemøller, Kasper Bjørke, Lydmor, Null + Void amongst others.

Across the Truth LP MANOID delivers an amalgamation of styles ranging from jazz-tinged electronica like opener ‘No Time’, which features the Cellist from Atom String Quarted, one of Poland’s top jazz groups, through to modern classical influences such as ‘Letting Freedom Grow’ which is based around brass instruments recorded by Jedrzej Kupiec.

One half of Darkness Falls and Trentemøller collaborator Josephine Philip also delivers vocals on ‘Take Me’, adding yet another musical twist to the package, whilst further ideas came to fruition through field recordings such as ‘When’ which is based upon recordings from a textile museum in the city of Lodz, and ‘For Roses’ which was initially made as a lullaby for MANOID’s niece but he felt was a little too dark so later developed it into this enchantingly eerie composition for the album.

MANOID’s debut album radiantly displays charm, maturity and musicality throughout and joins the thread of his musical influences and experiences perfectly.

MANOID’s ‘Truth’ LP is out on hafendisko 05th October (Vinyl) and 25th October (Digital) 2018.

MANOID: To Grieve

Instytut (Warsaw, Poland) is an active scientific laboratory that make researches on high voltage with huge power generators able to produce lightnings. One of three such in Europe, the only one that hosts techno events twice a year. 

Over the years Instytut hosted a techno legends like Chris Liebing, Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Luke Slater, Adam Beyer and many more.
