And that being said, our guest has had quite the illustrious musical journey. From his early days to (illegally) raving in the fields of Cambridgeshire, to maintaining multiple residencies in the capital for some of the most iconic names.

If prompted whether he has a style, his Dj sets are anything but genre-restricted as he fully unleashes his eclectic taste and seamlessly sprinkles his past gems with the modern sounds of whatever is doing it for him today.

He takes pride in making a lot of his favourite songs into his own bespoke dancefloor edits, for which he has found himself being played across the world. And such as what he continuously signs on his ‘Monologues’ imprint, the unorthodox tailored to fit the dancefloor – truly creating a magical moment which many are unable to. 

However, he is most popularly known for his ‘Pitchblack Playback’ series in London, taking attendees on deep sonic listening journey in the dark. 
With a beyond respectable cv of local booths, including – Glastonbury; Fabric; Ministry of Sound; Space (Ibiza); Corsica Studios; Turnmills; Secret Garden Party; The Egg; The Cause; KOKO and his current residency at XOYO; we thought to have an excerpt from one of his international shows from the West Harlem Club in Kyoto.

Avenue Red Podcast welcomes Marseille-based DJ/artist Sarah Goldfarb for his debut mix on the series. Mastermind of the most hilarious and incisive techno scene memes (for which he is fast becoming uniquely infamous), he is best known to us for his scintillating, deep, shimmering, minimal, clicky micro house & techno releases pressed in the 2000's.

Many older Avenue Red heads will recall some of the important labels he graced, including: Riley Reinhold's Trapez Ltd; Treibstoff; Dumb-Unit; Curle Recordings; 200 Records; Toys For Boys Records and more. It's great to have him back, adding his fresh, zesty ideas once again to this rather murky and unusual realm of the underground. This mix is truly magical. Taste it.

For the 2nd installment of the series I dive into some of the connective sounds I share with my lady, Keri! Our bond runs deep with music and the events that host these sounds. We both take music very seriously, maybe too (haha), and it is one of the binding factors of our relationship. One of my earliest memories of us was when we spent a whole night nestled behind my turntables playing through records, giving our takes, telling stories, and expressing our passions about the music’s past-present-and future. We met in the music, and we move forward in the music, always. Here I have a collection of tunes I feel have a connection with both Keri and I, and I have curated a flow that I hope you will enjoy! Seth Nichols - Significant Others 002 - Keri

Seth has been DJing since 1999 when he acquired his first set of turntables. Around the same time the on-line record store began as Evolving Records. In 2001 the record store took to a physical location and remained until 2007 when it went back on-line. During those years and beyond, Seth was involved with throwing a multitude of big shows in the Indianapolis area from big trance acts like Paul Oakenfold to big techno acts like Maetrik (Maceo Plex) and Joel Mull. He was also involved with promotions and held resident DJ spots at the notorious Eden, and Therapy Nightclubs.
In 2010 Seth took the record store (Love Vinyl) operations to Denver and began to work his way into the scene there. Since then he has been involved with many different clubs and promoters making his mark. Seth and partner Kevin Callison began throwing a weekly Thursday night at the Buddha lounge and have kept the night going for 5 years with only a few breaks. For the last 2.5 years solid they have been running a weekly called The Underground which is held in the back room of Milk Bar. The night has built a solid following with a consistent vibe and a high caliber of local, national, and international talent making regular appearances.
In 2015 Eko House came to life in Englewood and was a host to a great deal of big name acts and events. Eko House is the teaming of Camilo Ruiz (Fiat Luxx), Kevin Callison, and Seth. After some sour dealings with the owners, the space was relocated to N Denver where it now stands as a pivotal venue in the Underground afterhours scene of Denver. 
Behind the decks Seth aims to ride the line of teasing and pleasing. The focus is on the contrasting elements in the music, tight seamless mixing, and a sound story. To Seth, DJing is a form of communication and soul sharing aimed to not only make people dance, but to also create an uplifted and transcending vibe.
