Ferreck Dawn's internationally recognised sound returns to Defected with what he describes as an "atmospheric yet very danceable track." 

The Dutch powerhouse has quickly established himself as modern house authority, performing globally while releasing top tier tracks with renowned vocalists such as Jem Cooke and Izzy Bizu. 

'Better' features vocals from Jena Asciutto, a US vocalist who rose to prominence on national television before signing with leading agency Metatone: "When I first heard Jena's topline I was blown away by it. She has such a great voice and I love the delivery and emotion it has." On creating 'Better' with Ferreck, Jena says that the infectious track "touches on a spectrum of different inspirations. Ranging from self-love and acceptance to setting the standard in a relationship. You can have all of me or nothing at all."

A faultless amalgamation of the three artists styles, as MEDUZA’s spacious and celestial production aesthetic, Ferreck’s innate house sensibilities and Clementine’s soaring vocal work together in harmony on this elegant club cut. Brazil meets Newcastle for Mura’s debut on Patrick Topping’s Trick with the vocal smash ‘Check It’, featuring remixes from Ewan McVicar and Elliot Adamson. Continuing to discover fresh talent, Patrick Topping recruits Brazilian DJ/producer Mura for an irresistibly energetic first release laced with catchy rapped vocals sitting atop a bouncy, synth-laden production, inviting label family members Ewan McVicar and Elliot Adamson on board for a pair of high octane remixes. 

Following his ‘Street Rave EP’ on Trick in 2020, DJ Mag ‘Best Breakthrough Act’ nominee Ewan McVicar provides a high energy ‘Organ Mix’ of Mura’s original, keeping ‘88 alive with blasting stabs and chorded organs to transform ‘Check It’ into a no-holds-barred rave anthem. 

Elliot Adamson returns to Trick after yet another year of superb output in 2020 and turns in two remixes of ‘Check It’. The laser-ridden ‘Leazes’ remix and the aptly titled ‘Turbo’ remix both see the Newcastle-born producer taking no prisoners, adding a welcome dose of frenzied excitement to yet another standout release from Trick.
