Salah satu band terbaik negeri ini, Payung Teduh, dipercaya menjadi pembuka katup kekayaan genre album MOMENTUM Seno M Hardjo 17th Years of Musical Journey. Sebuah album selebrasi seorang Seno M. Hardjo yang memainkan peran sebagai Eksekutif Produser, Publicist, Marketing, pembedah Distribusi hingga Lirikus dan berbagai unsure produksi lahirnya sebuah karya rekaman Musik, baik Lagu maupun Album utuh.

Dalam album ini, Payung Teduh melantunkan “Masa Kecilku”. Reportoar karya Dian Pramana Poetra bersama sang Ibunda, Sumiati Sutiko yang pernah popular di bibir Elfa's Singer. Seno memberikan keleluasaan ReArrangement kepada Payung Teduh yang dihuni oleh Is, Comi dan Ivan ini. ''Aransemennya sangat berbeda dengan yang pernah dibuat bang Elfa Secioria almarhum. Dan itu menjadi magnet baru bagi generasi masa kini,'' ungkap Seno M Hardjo.

Payung Teduh yang dibentuk 2007, konsisten menelurkan karya yang sarat kualitas. Mereka meraih 2 penghargaan pada 2012 sebagai Best New Comer dari ajang ICEMA atau Indonesia Cutting Edge Music Awards dan menjadi album terbaik versi Majalah TEMPO! Musikalitas mereka inspiring by era keemasan musik decade 60-an. Musik mereka adalah paduan aura Jazz, Pop organik dan Keroncong. Dan mengagetkan benar, respon anak muda begitu kuat. Payung Teduh kini menjadi ‘Raja PENSI” anak SMP, SMA maupun Kampus.

“Masa Kecilku” yang terpilih menjadi themesong film “Jakarta Undead” Kolaborasi Chapter 6, The Zine Film, Hypenotic Inc. dan Happyfriends production , sebuah film karya sutradara Rico Michael yang akan edar Januari 2016, diolah dalam musik organik. Contra Bass yang dimainkan Comi, drums yang efektif dan bebunyian guitalele atau terompet dari Ivan meningkahi vocal Is yang berkarakter.

INDONESIA'S film Director Rico Michael set another astounding piece of visionary theatrical action thriller, with a story written by Singapore Horror Mastermind Adam MD Yusop.

In the year 2017, the world has been ravaged by a viral plague that turns the recent dead into ZOMBIES. Z.E.U (Zombie Enforcement Unit) a task force lead by Banner appoints Hajj, Z.E.U top zombie killer to meet with a Malaysian CDC representative. Hajj though have a different take on what happen to the world, to him this is the apocalypse and the zombies are demons from hell. This point of view creates conflicts in the ranks of his team as they head to Jakarta's tallest building and restore satellite communication so they can track the undead movement and create a protected sanctuary. Will Hajj succumbs to his halucinations, or is there some other forces behind the rise of the undead ? JAKARTA UNDEAD coming soon

JAKARTA UNDEAD mengisahkan kehidupan Jakarta pada 2017 yang dirusak oleh virus yang mengubah orang mati menjadi zombie. Hadirnya zombie-zombie itu menjadi sangat ganas dan merusak kelangsungan hidup manusia di muka bumi. Untuk itulah hadir Zombie Enforment Unit (ZEU) yang bertugas untuk membasmi zombie tersebut.

Payung Teduh was created by two close friends that used most of their time in playing music at the canteen of FIB as well as providing background music for the Pagupon Theater of Indonesia University. These two close friends, Is and Comi, played their music anywhere from the canteen of FIB UI, hangout places inside the campus complex, to the lake side near UI’s Center Administration Building. Their togetherness in playing music has been supported by friends around them which then lead to the creation of a duo that eventually became the next big thing at UI.      

 

Payung Teduh was then born in late 2007 with their first formation, Is on vocal & guitar, and Comi on Double Bass. After playing duo for some time, it was necessary for them to improve their exploration in their music as well as improving their stage performance. In doing this, they recruited Cito as a drummer and Ivan as a guitalele player in 2010. Angin Pujaan Hujan was the first song that eventually known as the signature composition of Payung Teduh’s style of music. As time went by, they wrote new songs such as Kucari Kamu, Amy, Untuk Perempuan Yang Sedang Dalam Pelukan.  They also played songs written by a colleague/mentor Catur Ari Wibowo who is also a director of Pagupon Theater that wrote songs such as Resah, Cerita Tentang Gunung dan Laut. Amalia Putri, a good friend of them, also wrote songs like Malam and Tidurlah that were then added into their album. Payung Teduh then recorded these songs and released their first indie album in late 2010.  

 

In this first album, it can be said that the musical characteristic of Payung Teduh is like the music in the 60’s with a blend of keroncong and jazz music. Whenever they were asked what kind of musical genre that Payung Teduh played, it was up to the listeners to define what kind of genre that they played, in a sense that they won’t stop playing music in just one genre, but in many other genres while still maintaining the strong characteristic that they already have.
