A rare celestial visitor from beyond the void 🪐

3I/ATLAS is the third confirmed interstellar object ever observed. Discovered on 1 July 2025 by the ATLAS telescope in Chile, it’s up to about 28 km wide, traveling fast and will pass just inside Mars’ orbit in late October 2025. Likely an active comet, it may form a glowing coma and tail as it nears the Sun. 

Though hidden behind the Sun at closest approach, it should reappear by December 2025. Interstellar visitors like 3I/ATLAS carry material from distant planetary systems, offering a rare glimpse into worlds beyond our own and bringing significant changes into the energy grid of our solar system.

Believe it or not, today we have a guest from across the Atlantic ✈️🌎. The mysterious @narcissemusique, known for his dark, groovy sound 🎧🖤, sent us a set that couldn't be more fitting for today's Halloween celebration. Crunchy 💥, techy, driving ⚡, and never over the top 💁‍♂️🪞!

🎃 Welcome Narcisse, what is the BPM range you normally play in?
110 BPM is the tempo I feel most comfortable with, but I like to adapt to what feels best at the moment. I've found that being curious and staying open to any BPM has nurtured my music production heavily. On this tour, I found myself playing a couple of times at 125 BPM, and it was a very fulfilling experience.

🕷️ How would you describe your music style in your own words?
Although it really changes depending on my mood and the situation, most of my latest releases can be described as raw, heavy, and edgy. I really like to bring the imperfect side of human beings into art and embrace it—I find it more interesting. I think that seeking perfection can end up killing music genres. At the last stage of a music genre, you will always see an explosion of extreme technic focus artists taking things to the limit, technically.

👻 Please tell us more about your artist name Narcisse.
The name came to me from two sides of my life. The first is a parody of how artists normally focus so much on their beauty or social appearance, and I thought it would be funny for an artist called Narcisse to have a picture of himself (my profile artist picture) highlighting bad facial features. The other reason why I chose this name—I'll leave that there for now :) [Editor's note: Sassy! :-D]

🧙‍♂️  How can we imagine the downtempo scene in Mexico? 
It's an incredibly diverse space of visions and styles with great potential waiting to be explored. You'll find downtempo references everywhere, from the most humble clubs to the poshest ones—two extremes just waiting to be connected.

🦇 Do you see a difference between the downtempo scene in Mexico compared to Europe? 
The downtempo scene in Mexico is still very underground. I think that the genre is still very unknown, even for people inside the electronic music scene. They understand the sound and most likely have heard it before, but it's less known than the bigger movement that has happened in the past years in Europe.
 
💀 In Europe Halloween is more commercial, while in Mexico Dia de los Muertos has a deep traditional meaning. Can you tell us about this tradition?
It does carry a deep meaning, and it shows how we see death. For me personally, it functions as a mechanism to accept, in a better way, when a person we love is no longer with us.

🧛‍♂️ Was it a challenge to plan this dark bounce halloween set or is it just your regular sound?
Thankfully I was able to just put mostly my productions together and it ended up being very fitting :)

🐍 If your sound was a Halloween creature, what would it be?
Hahaha interesting question, maybe medusa, does that count as halloween creature? haha

🖤 What's next for you after this set?
A lot of releases, I release a track a month so there is plenty to go and at the moment i'm writing this i'm finishing my europe tour so, more things to announce soon.

Baikal Nomads presents an downtempo/organic house release with melodic grooves and trippy atmosphere by gingembrę and blue Dietrich.

It's the first time that gingembrę and blue Dietrich have collaborated, and it's also each of their debuts on the Baikal Nomads record label. They first made contact via Murmure Records, where they have released their individual music, alongside doing A&R for the imprint.

blue Dietrich is a Brazilian artist living in France, his progressive style of organic house infuses jazz influences with melodic synthesisers and crisp percussion. He is a skilled DJ whose productions channel his knowledge of the dance floor, and his tracks have been released by respected record labels such as Bar 25 Music and Cafe De Anatolia.

gingembrę is a downtempo artist from Germany, and his smouldering style has a growing suspense with majestic melodies and immersive atmosphere. He has an international fanbase, and has played shows everywhere from Burning Man to Landjuweel in Amsterdam. gingembrę's tracks and remixes can be found on imprints including Magician On Duty, down., Serafin Audio, and MONADA.

"Thou Shall Believe in Witches" is the collaborative original track on the release, and it's got a magical vocal sample that fits with the spellbinding vibe of its soaring pads and throbbing bassline. gingembrę's solo rework of the second track "Planes Are Fireflies" drops the tempo and strips back the drums to let the enchanting synths cast their hallucinatory spell. blue Dietrich also delivers a solo version of "Planes Are Fireflies," defined by shuffling drums and a jazzy bassline with distorted tones.
