In his role as one of the resident DJs of the Fusion Dance party series in B.A, Mystery Friend delves into the origins of House, Techno, New Beat, Italo Disco, HI-NRG and beyond - all imbued with fresh perspective and Latin energy which you can hear throughout the DNA of this mix.

After PDA resident Tam Tam played at Fusion Dance, an instant musical bond was formed and a cultural exchange along the axis of Buenos Aires & Berlin has been cemented. With Fusion Dance striving to maintaining quality DJ and party culture alongside a DIY ethos, we consider them as friends, allies and comrades on the same mission as us against an ever-changing climate of club culture.

Alongside plumbing the depths of musical past, present and indeed future as a digger, Mystery Friend is also a talented producer with releases seeing the light of day of Nation sub-label Dirty Blendz, the Fusion Dance in-house label & Non-Stop Rhythm.

Flying away from the Typhoon Kong-rey with the last plane from Shanghai, arriving straight to Miki Abe, his inaugural wonderful Picnic People Panic to the DJ booth at Womb Tokyo to take over from the superb Alien Sex Friends.

Here is the live recording.

Ryosuke Tsuchiya, who also served as PA, mastered this mix. He used a unique approach, including IR reverb, to simulate the environment of the day with an immersive feel.
WOMB is a club with a very high ceiling and wooden floor. The subwoofer, with its large horn, gives the kick a rich ambience.
