PDAWG - 2Pac, Outlawz

Still I Rise is a collaboration album by 2Pac and the Outlawz. The album excludes some of the original line up of the Outlawz, including Hussein Fatal, who had left the group as he had refused to sign to Death Row. The album contains all previously unreleased, albeit remixed material. It was released on December 21, 1999, by Death Row Records and Interscope Records.

The album features production from 2Pac's close producers Tony Pizarro, Johnny "J" and QDIII, and appearances from Big Syke and Nate Dogg. The album features mostly tracks from Shakur while he was on Death Row.

The album debuted at number seven on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 408,000 in the first week. The album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). 

This particular track was produced as the intro for the "West Coast Delivery" album and contains a sample from G. Dep's Special Delivery song released in 2001.

This is a special remix produced by PDAWG as a tribute to Apache Indian.  Apache Indian was the first artist of Indian decent to be featured in Vibe Magazine which was founded by Quincy Jones.  The magazine featured up and coming artists such as Tupac Shakur, Aaliyah, Notorious BIG, Jodeci and more before they blew up.  Apache Indian was featured in the November 1993 issue of Vibe Magazine which also featured George Clinton on the cover.  Apache Indian had a number of hits during the 1990s but he is best known for the song "Boom Shack-A-Lak", which reached the top ten during August 1993 in several countries.

"Lights Please" is a song by American rapper J. Cole, released on June 15, 2009 from his second mixtape, The Warm Up. The song later appeared on his debut studio album, Cole World: The Sideline Story (2011).

"Lights Please" was the first song that was heard by his manager Mark Pitts, who later played it for Jay-Z. Pitts said in a 2011 interview, "I went to Jay's house and said, 'I'm going to play you one thing,' and I played him "Lights Please." Prior to Jay-Z reaction to the song, he called Cole and set up a meeting the next morning. The meeting lead to signing the rapper to Roc Nation, an achievement Cole has been striving for since attending college.

Although the song appeared on The Warm Up, Cole initially planned for it to be on his debut album. "I was performing the song in front of most of these people who didn't really know me they might have heard of me. I was like, 'I'm about to do this song. I wanna do something for y'all it's called "Lights Please." Even if I drop my album in 2012 this gonna be on the album." I said that not really knowing that my album would really almost drop in 2012. I said it just as a joke, but I was serious." Cole also said in interview, "when history is told 10, 15 years from now, 20, 30, 40 years from now, it's important that they know that song was a big part of my career. I wanted to do that song justice, it deserved more than a mixtape track."

Lights Please Remix - J Cole, PDAWG

Overtime is the last track featured on the Mailbox Money mixtape by American rapper Nipsey Hussle. The mixtape was released as a free digital download on December 31, 2014, on mixtape hosting websites. It was also released in a limited first edition of 100 copies for $1,000 each including other incentives via his All Money In record label, which followed-up Crenshaw, that was sold under the same schema but rather 1,000 copies for $100. The mixtape features production by DJ Mustard, Rance, Hit-Boy, DJ Khalil, Ralo Stylez and Wizzo, among others. Guest appearances on the mixtape came from Rick Ross, Dom Kennedy, K Camp, Trae Tha Truth, Buddy and many others.

PDAWG - Domino

Shawn Antoine Ivy, known as Domino, is a rapper. Being a Crip himself, he auditioned for the Bloods & Crips project in the early 1990s. He is the first rapper, in order of appearance, in the title track Bangin' on Wax on the album of the same name. His debut album, Domino, spawned two major hits in the United States, including the Top 10 hit "Getto Jam", which reached No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. Several further albums were released, and Domino continued to score hits on the R&B charts into the 2000s.

While his self-titled debut album was critically and commercially well-received, many were quick to point out that his style was similar to that of fellow Long Beach resident and up-and-coming Dr. Dre protégé, Snoop Doggy Dogg. He is the first hip-hop artist to perform a No. 1 rap single which contained melodic hip-hop throughout the entire song. Three years later, Domino released his second album, Physical Funk, which failed to become as successful as its predecessor. The video for title track "Physical Funk" was a No. 1 video on MTV but the album was delayed before its release due to Def Jam dropping Outburst Records (the record label Domino was released on) before the album was released.

PDAWG - Guru, DJ Premier (Gang Starr)

Mass Appeal is a song by hip hop group Gang Starr from the album Hard to Earn. The song reached #67 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #42 on the Billboard R&B chart. According to DJ Premier, Mass Appeal was recorded to poke fun at radio when it came to hip hop music.

"It was recorded as a joke. We just wanted to make fun of the radio on what it sounded like to get airplay. That’s why I made the background melody real simplistic. I was making fun of the radio, but I’m going to make a funky version of making fun of it. Everything’s a vision, and your brain has to be that intense to be able to capture that. What the radio played, when it came to hip-hop, it sounded too watered down."

PDAWG's Underground Mix Tapes and CD's were popular in the late 1990s and early 2000's in the US, Canada and United Kingdom.
