"Memory Music" is the debut EP from Danish composer and sound artist David Engelbrecht, aka Dudde, coming out in full on April 24th on katharsis. Crafted over several years through the careful gathering and processing of sonic fragments, the release captures the emotional weight and wonder of sound as memory. Each track is a small time machine, inviting listeners to drift between past and present - those moments when a single sound unlocks a flood of forgotten feelings, places, and people.

Moving seamlessly between ambient textures and sharp, high-paced drum patterns, Memory Music balances clarity and chaos with a sense of play. Breakbeats collide with nostalgic synth lines, melodic motifs shimmer alongside digital shadows, and echoes of vintage videogames flicker in and out like ghosts. It’s music that remembers and reimagines all at once - where fragments of the past become blueprints for the future.

this is the only compilation CD featuring songs which hope to make you cry with the original point of view from Lirico label, which have released a lot of beautiful sad folk music.

- is the slogan of Lirico. the label artists explain a lot about this slogan with their songs: Scott Matthew sings that we should take sadness in,  Chris Garneau sings of many goodbye stories, Egil Olsen sings about proud loneliness, and Tamas Wells sings about life and death. 

there are hundreds of compilation CDs which feature "the happiest songs", but "saddest songs" is a totally original concept and 
nobody could do it but Lirico. 

if you are having a hard time and don't want to listen to happy songs, this CD is made for you.  there are no messages here, all 15 songs are very personal and special, and will gently carry you through your sadness. 

sometimes happy songs can't cheer you up, but these beautiful sad songs will make you feel better. Voices of angels, magical melodies, miracle harmonies...these songs will tell you, "you can be crying tonight".
