手として知られるボブ・ドローの2012年録音作品。Celebration of the Arts
Festival(COTAjazz)の為に録音／制作された作品で、自身のコンポジションに
よる11曲をニューヨーク・ヴォイセズ、ジャニス・シーゲル、グレース・ケリーを迎
え録音。入手困難な作品でしたが限定プレスが実現。8Pデジパック仕様の豪華パッケー
ジで原田和典氏による解説も付き国内流通仕様で限定発売になります。

ニューヨーク・ヴォイセズ、フィル・ウッズのソロをフィーチャーした名曲「デヴィ
ル・メイ・ケア」から始まり、「アイム・ヒップ」、「ジャスト・アバウト・エブリ

Stanton Moore describes his latest recording, 'Conversations,' as both a "return to my roots and a reinvention." The New Orleans drummer, who by all counts is regarded as one of the great funk musicians of his time, has delivered his first straight-ahead jazz trio album. The collection signifies a return to Moore's roots as he finally gets the opportunity to record with pianist David Torkanowsky and bassist James Singleton whom he came up playing alongside on the New Orleans’ club circuit. It's a reinvention because after years of delivering huge grooves and unrelenting funk at some of the world’s most revered rock clubs and festivals, Moore is stepping back to focus on the subtlety of swing and improvisation, while presenting the music at intimate venues like that of his jazz trio's home-base, Snug Harbor. As for the album's title, upon first listen, it's clear. There's a vigorous musical dialogue happening among the three musicians, as they share stories, explore ideas and trade thought on tracks like "Lauren Z," "Big Greaze" and the Herbie Hancock classic "Driftin." The Big Easy is always close at hand with the majority of the album's repertoire being drawn from New Orleans composers like James Black ("Magnolia Triangle" and "In The Keyhole"), Steve Masakowski ("The Chase") and Paul Barbarin (“Paul Barbarin's Second Line”). With 'Conversations,' Stanton Moore shines a light on a side of his musical personality that will be new to fans, but every bit as compelling as the substantial body of work he's established over the course of his 20-year career.

Le Luxembourg, nouveau berceau du Jazz européen ?.... Si des musiciens comme Michel Pilz, Ernie Hammes ou Roby Glod ont porté trop discrètement une qualité musicale indéniable pendant de nombreuses années, la scène luxembourgeoise semble pousser les frontières et s’émancipe grandement depuis ces derniers mois. Pascal Schumacher, Maxime Bender  entre autres sont là pour témoigner de cette effervescence dans l’écriture, la composition et avec une expression sur scène des plus passionnantes.

Parmi ces musiciens attachés à leur territoire mais conquérants sur le monde, le pianiste Michel Reis, le contrebassiste Marc Demuth et le batteur Paul Wiltgen ont su prendre le temps de la réflexion, de l’apprentissage et de l’ouverture sur ce monde. Résidant aux Etats-Unis depuis plusieurs années pour Michel Reis et Paul Wiltgen, navigant entre Portugal, Espagne et le reste de l’Europe pour Marc Demuth, ce Trio déjà complice depuis 1998 tient à s’affirmer aujourd’hui comme une des formations les plus originales dans le célèbre triangle piano, basse, batterie. 

Une écriture très européenne pour les mélodies associées à la puissance rythmique US dans tout ce qu’elle a d’enthousiasmant tant dans sa dynamique que dans l’assise de sa construction. Reis / Demuth / Wiltgen nous interpellent sur la richesse de ce jazz actuel et sur une Europe décomplexée.
