There’s something really cathartic and relieving about this track. It’s like bracing for the impact of this horrible ‘thing’ that feels like it’s just over the horizon. But when rubber meets the road things end up being not as a bad, or easier than you thought it’d be. Like going to that event you didn’t feel like going to, or seeing that person you worked up the nerve to talk to, or hoping that dreaded thing you don’t want to happen happens but you find yourself dealing with it better than expected or it’s really not as bad as you thought it’d be. It’s a very ‘sigh of relief’ type feeling this song brings up in me.
