"The "Party Girl' script and performances were so hilarious that it was super important to have many of the iconic dialogue moments on the soundtrack. I think I went into the edit room (this was shot on film!) and literally grabbed snippets of favorite dialogue to include in between songs. Erik Talbert aced getting us great sound efx, dj scratches, etc. for the interludes. 

I also have fond memories of teaching Guillermo how to DJ so he looked convincing on camera while spinning. Super sweet! " - Bill Coleman

This was Peace Bisquit and Music Supervisor Bill Coleman's first film soundtrack!

"The "Party Girl' script and performances were so hilarious that it was super important to have many of the iconic dialogue moments on the soundtrack. I think I went into the edit room (this was shot on film!) and literally grabbed snippets of favorite dialogue to include in between songs. Erik Talbert aced getting us great sound efx, dj scratches, etc. for the interludes. 

I also have fond memories of teaching Guillermo how to DJ so he looked convincing on camera while spinning. Super sweet! " - Bill Coleman

Back in 1996 - @Peace-Bisquit were enamored and working quite a bit with the amazing U.K. group (and twins Jacquie and Pauline) SoHo and their super talented Producer Timothy London of "Hippychick" fame . One of our collaborations was “Whisper To A Scream (Birds Fly).”  

Friend and colleague - Patricia Joseph - from TVT Records was compiling a soundtrack and needed an inspired cover of the Icicle Works ’80’s classic for consideration on the soundtrack and end title credits of a highly anticipated new brand of horror film Directed by Wes Craven. 
It was a super quick turnaround! 
PB were Honored to have made the cut and contribute to a a bit of soundtrack history and legacy within the Scream franchise!

In 2005, Bill Coleman and @Peace-bisquit did a bit of Remix A&R for the unearthed Diana Ross 'Blue' album ('The Lady Sings The Blues' sessions!). We enlisted Lati and Desmond from fam, https://soundcloud.com/brooklyn-funk-essentials to rework this enduring classic. 

The idea to release a remix was shelved but we're still quite proud and love this mix. The reggae-driven groove blankets Ms. Ross' performance with an elegant, reverent and sumptuous soundscape while retaining the original's plaintive emotion.

In 2023 - we bumped it up just a bit to rock the party and dancehalls even more.
