Was chopping Chopin's "nocturne op 55" when i realized that my old tune "only two" has the same freaking chorus harmony as the main theme of his piece.

it was a fun project. Especially making Emily recite French poetry by Charles Baudelaire's. She was so eager to really get it out there and I was trying to hold her back with my request to just chill out and read it out like you just don't care. Well.. you be the judge, lol... And below's the actual poem. The singing part isn't part of the poem,...

How Lonely Do You Feel

just couldn't leave Lilly's vocals alone after an originally non-impressive pixie's cover. This time it's sort of a beachy tune... Enjoy.

Where is my mind (acoustic, feat. Lilly)

(long intro ~ 30sec) my personal take on the famous American world war II tune from the 40's "Coming in on a wing and a prayer", however in Russian language. This tune was extremely popular in the Soviet times and continues to be so until today. Hence the translation in to Russian. The main difference, however, is that I've changed the whole tune in to a minor key.. d'oh.. but it still sounds pretty good.  My dad plays the sax part and recording him was the most difficult part since he knew the song in Major key and asking him to change it to Minor sounded like a treason to him.. lol.. but he did it eventually. (go, Dad!)

back to the trip-hop wagon. Was chopping the beautiful piece called  "Barcarolle" by Tchaikovsky. .. then reduced it to a simple trip-hop beat with one of the original parts sort of intact.. Anyway, spoken/sung poetry with some singing in the chorus..  It's definitely got that feeling of inevitability.

I wonder what should we do to be in love (Retro)

I stumbled upon Erik Satie's pieces from 19th century. His Gymnopédies & Gnossiennes melodies and their juxtaposition over the deep minor harmonies are mesmerizing. So I ended up fusing the Russian version of the lyrics for my track "Misery"  with Erik's "Gnossiennes part 3".
  
the end result is a rather moody and strangely melodic cohesion of a dirty electronic background layered with the zesty "je nais se quois" velvet of the piano... and well.. my voice here and there..
