One day, I found myself up early, ambling the wet cobblestone sidewalks of the town of Dinkelsbühl, Germany. 
I was on a musical trip abroad, an ocean and a few countries away from my family, yet I was not particularly 
homesick. The skies were a dim light gray, and the air was humid, carrying with it the dewey scent of fresh flowers 
in the window boxes. I'd been looking towards the ground until I thought I recognized a figure in the window through 
the corner of my eye. It had appeared to be my little brother and sister at first, but when I looked again, it was just a 
pair of manikins, facing away from me. I stopped for a moment, averted my eyes to the cobble, and continued my trip. 
My piece reinvokes the feeling of nostalgia, lonesomeness, and that fleeting feeling of genuinely believing something 
impossible to be true. In this case, it was my longing for family that had caused this, and the middle section of this piece 
captures this newfound longing. The piece is also meant to be extremely short, since the scene lasted but a moment, but 
filled with emotion nonetheless. As the memory and feeling fade away, the player should also feel that cloudy sky, the 
morning fog, as a melody of family is quoted. The final chord should feel like a peaceful sigh. Overall, the character 
of this piece should be interpreted as gentle and genuine. As well, there is a musical quotation, the final melody 
introduced being from the video game "Xenoblade Chronicles", and the song being "Riki's Tenderness".

An Ocean Away

I never really wrote structured, whole songs when I first found out about Famitracker; that said, most to all of the tracks in this album are extremely short. This stuff is from 2015, and it was my first musical outlet so the majority of tracks in here are very experimental, probably theoretically offensive, and just ideas that an earlier me had. 
Now that I've filled up the Famitracker file these old songs were on, I wanted to preserve these before I forget about them.

Just a fun little loop, maybe for an elevator, or a menu, or something.

Somewhere In The Elevator

This song sings the story of a gentle hero, from beginning to end. It begins with an intro that ramps up, with intention. A slight groove emerges, again, with fire and intention. Suddenly, the orchestra shows up and chronicles the struggles and battles of this hero. It repeats again, with more harmony in the high flute line, expressing more emotion of the battle, and our hero's peaceful nature, coming into the fight. Suddenly, it's just the piano again. The melody remains intact with its pulse resonating through you. The fight may be over, but what remains?

Here's a little idea I had for stuff in Castleton if it was hopeful and adventurous, like revived and stuff. I hope you enjoy it, it was a lot of fun to make!

The whole tune is in a somewhat JRPG-ish, glossy sort of sound, I'm not sure if that works with the way everything looks, but those sort of things are what feedback is good for. Either way, I had a smile on my face the whole time!

I was thinking this might even work for Grandma Spider?
I wasn't sure if I should add a gentle section though, to reflect her age and grandma-like instincts, so maybe maybe not? I'm not sure. Enjoy!

These are just some sections or ideas for what the song will be, I have this main idea of the melody played frequently to get you used to it. What do you think? Is anything too much or missing? Either way, it's great to compose for y'all again! :)

I'm not really sure what this is, but I really like the melody and the touchy harmony. I thought of fluffy little bunnies hopping all around the Alps, and how petite and relative their lives are to ours. I don't know either, lol, but here it is. It's not REALLY an official piece, so there's a lot of development that could be done. Either way, enjoy the console generation leaps!
