The first long player to drop on Radiant Records is Pansy Beat, the debut album from label head Byron Yeates.

The ten tracks on Pansy Beat are suffused with Byron’s musical influences, showcasing the full breadth and depth of his sonic world. Woven with subtle nods to the UK rave continuum, the album reverberates with the sounds of ’90s London radio that soundtracked Byron’s early years.

Starry-eyed IDM, jangly electronica, rolling drum and bass, and playful references to new wave and synth-pop converge alongside the rich tapestry of house music on which Yeates has built his reputation as a DJ and producer.

Carefully arranged and seamlessly flowing, the tracks balance playful charm with serious intent — insouciant basslines, glossy synths, dreamy pads, and moody atmospherics are laced with clever sampling and intricate percussion — a journey to the end of the night that tiptoes between euphoria and melancholy with a subversively camp pop sensibility.

Sitting somewhere between a dance music and home listening album, Pansy Beat echoes the mood of a DJ set from Byron Yeates: an intimate, seductive, and playful collection of tracks, grounded by a classic sensibility shaped by a lifetime of musical word-building.

@vertigo-perth is a Boorloo/Perth-based event series-turned-label, making inaugural noise via its debut VA, 'Vertigo 001'. With a variety of talent from both at home & interstate, as well as appearances by international voices Stones Taro and Will Hofbauer, the compilation is an impressive debut which politely demands attention.

Boorloo-born turned Naarm/Melbourne-local @cheahdx's offering to this debut, premiered here, is just as impressive. The artist, increasingly known for his ability to traverse a wide variety of genres & tones, has delivered a spacious, dubby and driving track in the form of 'Su Casa'.

Of the track, CHEAHDX shared:

“'Su Casa' was a track I first started tinkering with back in 2023 - ironically, it's taken a long time to find a proper home for it.

It's an equal parts dubby/wonky exploration that took me a while to get sitting just right; the final result reflects my growing love for dub and dub-adjacent minimal. I’m really happy with how it sits alongside the rest of the compilation and couldn’t think of a better home for it than Vertigo!"

'Vertigo 001' releases via Vertigo's Bandcamp next Wednesday, October 1.

PREMIERE: CHEAHDX - 'Su Casa' [Vertigo]

On Butter Sessions, Iti presents Colourful Choices, a collision of vivid synth melodies and fractured drum rhythms. The title nods to the multicoloured lights and patch cables of his synths - the primary source of the record's motifs.

The EP opens with the title track Colourful Choices, beginning with a shimmering string-synth that bends and twists into a playful, colourful melody. It's joined by a punchy drum-machine rhythm before descending into a gritty, driving bassline. Exit shifts the energy with garage-electro edge, its weighty low-end anchoring robotic synth stabs before erupting into a heavy 2-step breakdown. Lost in a Tangent moves into more intricate terrain, pairing rolling skin-drum percussion with snappy breakbeats and a saturated chord melody. The EP concludes with Ampersand, where a fragmented lead-line meets a driving four-to-the-floor rhythm section, crafting a shadowy club sound that emerges into moments of euphoria.

In an era of highly-polished production, Colourful Choices sees Iti emerge as a producer unafraid to harness raw sound, delivering music that is tactile, striking, and entirely his own.

Avinguda Diagonal comes from a different place conceptually. Inspired by the streets of Barcelona, this electro track is as much at home soundtracking your cosmic explorations as it is the dancefloor.

In a landscape saturated with maximalist gestures and instant gratification, Not Even Noticed operate in the periphery — a project whose very name speaks to its ethos. The Frankfurt–Leipzig duo have been quietly sculpting a sonic language of restraint and intention since emerging in the early 2020s, threading broken rhythms, trance-infused atmospheres, and acid-washed details into music that rewards patience and deep listening. Their productions don’t clamor for attention; they invite it, revealing hidden layers only to those willing to lean in.

Their latest chapter, the Eteus EP, released this summer on LA’s visionary Fast At Work imprint, is perhaps their most refined statement yet. Drawing on the myth of Eteus — a figure of light and knowledge — the record explores the delicate tension between weight and weightlessness, minimal form and maximal emotion. Across four originals and two masterful remixes from K-Lone and Maara, Not Even Noticed map a territory where low-swung basslines pulse like a heartbeat beneath vaporous melodies, and whispered vocals guide the listener toward ecstatic release. It’s a transmission you feel as much as you hear, a document of artists expanding their craft while remaining faithful to their understated pulse.

To accompany our conversation, the duo have prepared an exclusive mix for Bolting Bits’ MIXED BY series — a glimpse into their current orbit, stitched together with the same care and subtlety that defines their studio work. In the interview that follows, we dive into the mythic inspirations and meticulous processes behind Eteus, the evolution of their collaboration, and the philosophies driving one of electronic music’s most quietly compelling acts.

Following last year’s Half Life, a retrospective collection that unearthed lost vinyl releases and introduced Dawn Razor (@awnazor) & ArcheTech’s sound to a new audience, the duo return to HOMAGE with Gradient.

Across seven original tracks, Gradient expands the pair’s distinct language of electro, breakbeat, and mutant bass into new emotional and rhythmic dimensions. Precision drum programming and stark minimalism collide with atmospheric textures and evolving low-end pressure, revealing a sharper, more introspective side to their collaboration.

The release also features remixes from two essential voices in electronic music: the legendary DMX Krew (@dmxkrew), bringing his signature analog flair and electro funk sensibility, and Provider (@luvrboy909), the Austin-based producer whose cutting-edge take on techno has made waves across underground circles.

Gradient follows the narrative arc set in motion by Half Life, from lost archives to new horizons.
