First off, YAAASSSS, this is finally out for all of you to hear. I actually made the first cut of "Catch A Case" in February while pulling an all-nighter back at Syracuse (LETS GO O). So while I got zero work done, out came this joint about staying out of the joint. My biggest musical inspirations primarily come from house and hip hop so when I found this sample I knew I had to marry the two and give it that G-House vibe before I even knew G-House was a thing. So it's safe to say that I'm sosososo glad it is a thing and shouts to everyone part of the movement.

So in conclusion, procrastinating really isn't procrastination if you're doing what you love. And I worked real hard on this track for a while, so the fact that i didn't trash it within a 7-month time frame with my 7-second attention span shows it's my original that I'm the most proud of to date. Really hope yall enjoy. And stay out of trouble.

1. The name "AYO ALEX" comes from my good friend Dante making fun of my little brother Daniel's voice (that's deeper than mine) who always used to start sentences addressed at me with "Ayo Alehhx". (Example: "Ayo Alehhx, dad sez u gotta take me to baseball" or "Ayo Alehhx" dad sez take out the trash")

3. I play the drums, baritone, trumpet, guitar (poorly), sing a lil, and know enough piano to make it look like I know what I'm doing

As a practitioner of Yeezyanity, I had to throw my own flair into this remix contest. In my opinion "Kanye" is one of the most uplifting and feel good tunes of the year. It's the type of shit that you listen to once then its embedded in your brain and makes you believe all your dreams can come true. Drew and Alex are so damn good at creating such bright and beautiful top melodies... so I took the completely opposite approach with an ugly, bassline-driven remix. Hope y'all enjoy!

1. If I were to fully fangirl over anyone it would be Kanye, Will Smith, Pharrell, Derek Jeter, Dirk Nowitzki, and Ellen DeGeneres

HEY GUYS, it's been tooo long since I've put anything out and I'm really happy to give you my flip of Ember Island's cover of "Where Are Ü Now" by the dons Skrill, Diplo, and the Biebs.

I knew everyone was gonna jump on this accapela, but then I thought, fuck it this is wayyyy to dope to pass up. Ember Island bodied their cover and I was very excited to have the chance to remix this song, whether original or cover. 

I went with quite a different approach when putting this together and really wanted to get out of the four-to-the-floor arrangement. Honestly, I pivoted on this project 1398739183 times and went in all different directions but I'm super happy on how it turned out. Hope you enjoy friends.
