Decided to get back to the roots of my original inspiration to get in to electronic music and start recording some Drum & Bass mixes. 

Drum & Bass has always been my first love when it comes to electronic music so I hope you enjoy this first installment - focussed mainly on dark jungle tracks for this one 🔥

For our fifth podcast we have Strongrain, a Berlin-based DJ, producer, and soundengineer who is heavily influenced by oldschool Schranz and Hardtechno. He creates a unique aggressive and organic sound by incorporating tribal beats, synth melodies, and basslines from the 2000s. As a member of @g2kagency, he blends different styles in his DJ sets, revitalizing the oldschool sound with modern elements.

Fractions is a Prague-based electronic music producer and DJ duo of high-energy, genre-bending productions with elements of the late 90s – early 00s electronic music. In the duo's own words, they create "the soundtrack for highly energetic nights." A sound which no doubt is a derivative from their childhood with influences of US, UK and European cultures.

Berlin-based label Fleisch discovered them in 2018. The outcome of this collaboration was their sold-out "Control" and "Scars Of Love" EPs. Touring started to pick up, but it was when they were asked to debut for Klubnacht at Berghain in 2019, which was only the 3rd gig of their career, that things naturally took off for them. 

As a frequent contributor to DAX J’s infamous label Monnom Black, the duo were recently invited to take over Fold as part of the World of Monnom Black 24hr event in London, a momentous occasion that brought together some of the world of techno’s most well-respected artists.

In this mix, Fractions takes classic EBM elements and manifests a nostalgic look into the dark side of techno. With influences stemming from The Prodigy and Limp Bizkit, Fractions have incorporated grunge vocals alongside their signature raw, driving sound.

HØL: Fractions // 022

Formerly know as NN, CVNSUMED is a Cinematic Techno project started in Paris in 2015. The goal of
the project is to experiment associations of different atmosphere from many genre of electronic music
such as Techno, OST, Drum&Bass, Industrial and EBM.

Blending them to create a story line equivalent to a screenplay. From shamanic atmosphere to
cyberpunk futuristic grooves, his production’s goal are to take you on an odyssey.

He founded Demian records with Znzl and San-Ju Ni in 2018 to promote the cinematic techno genre.

They later were joined by Öspiel.
With many released under his belt on labels like 47, Pls.Uk, Arts and of course Demian Records, his
music has been supported since many years by many artist such as Tommy Four Seven, DJ Stingray,
Ancient Methods, Scalameriya, I Hate Models just to name a few.

For Your Entertainment. What a way to start 2024. We kick of the new year with Seven Synths. We had his production debut in 2023 on our Benzeen VA just to sample a taste. His clean yet aggressive production simply lead us to collaborate again to showcase an EP.

Three original tracks with dense amounts of variety across the tracks. Hard hitting kick drums carrying the weight of sharp percussion and well placed and thought out sound design. A range of unique sounds coming together perfectly to form 'For Your Entertainment'.

Stilistisch befindet sich der Dj auf einer „nie enden wollenden Identitätssuche“ irgendwo zwischen metallischen und punkigem Attitüde, roher noiselastiger Rhythmik, surrealistischer Provokation, rebellischer Gewalt-Ästhetik und Minimalismus.
