As we draw close to 2024, as well as Episode 99 of DanceDiscoveries, I wanted to showcase some talent from my hometown of Slough, United Kingdom. Slough was once considered the 'Mecca' of 90's raving culture and I have spent many hours down the Youtube rabbit hole looking at 'Summer of Love' parties across Slough. I feel like it was a real shame that despite 98 episodes, DanceDiscover had 0 representation from this melting-pot of culture. I am very grateful to introduce PAVZKY, not just as a personal friend but also as a representation of Slough's music culture. 

Bio:
Born and bred in Slough on the border West London, Pavzky has grown up on US rap and UK underground music, with the latter remaining a constant in his life ever since MTV Base. Heavily influenced by grime, dubstep, and UKG since the inception of these genres, and with a deep appreciation of their shared origins and the formative productions falling in between the already blurred boundaries of these sounds, Pavzky takes great pride in showcasing his music library – much of which has been discovered incidentally – with both old and new tunes, and those that may be lesser known. Expect to hear sounds ranging from dark, moody UKG/pre-dubstep all the way to synthy, jazzy garage house, covering the full spectrum of moods.

Peace Again was designed to mess with the boundaries of its genre, teasing syncopated rhythms and deep textures. It builds into an ambient landscape, reflecting distantly on its influences in grime and uk techno. This one’s for the forward thinkers. 

Solar is the gateway to your peak time heavy hitters. You can expect breaks, distortion and dirt to send things sideways, alongside its signature collision of drum patterns.
