Il y a chez les sœurs Taffin une complicité contagieuse qui fait entrer par la porte du familier dans l’antre du bizarre.
Juliette, pianiste trompettiste fellinienne et Lucie, accordéoniste solaire et cramée, chantent ensemble depuis l'enfance des chansons. 
Deux chanteuses dans la même fringue et le même nom, les sœurs
Taffin s'élancent sur la piste comme une seule, semblables, étranges et
légères. Habituées à monter sur scène depuis leur quinze ans, leur
naturel et leur complicité ressemble à un tour de magie.
Il y a bien Juliette la pianiste trompettiste, Lucie l'accordéoniste ; la
brune et la blonde demoiselle, avec chacune sa voix, son caractère.
Mais se distinguer les amuse un temps seulement, alors tout finit par se
mélanger, leurs deux voix fusionnent dans l'unisson, les instruments
passent de main en main...
Enfin, c'est la main du public qui est saisie et tirée dans un univers un
peu fou, épris de liberté et de jeu. Leurs chansons ont les yeux qui
brillent comme au temps où le cabaret jonglait entre poésie et
burlesque. On s'y disputera encore et toujours la question du vague à
l'âme, de la fragilité du monde, de la colère, de l'invention et de l'amour 
Bille en tête, 4e album et nouvel album, est l’occasion de ressortir avec EPM 
Dans un superbe coffret 4 Cd l’ensemble de leurs 68 chansons (entièrement remastérisé), depuis « Les Filles chantantes » en 2003.


EVOCATION SOSIE

I don't recall *exactly* when it was, that I heard this Urdu Na'at in praise of The Beloved of God, May God bless him and give him peace, during in my childhood.  I do remember being very young, and in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in my parents' home.  I also remember that it was being rendered by a person who became my absolute favourite Na'at reciter later in life - the late Hazrat Khursheed Ahmed, may he be enveloped in Divine Mercy.

This was my earliest memory of an introduction to the tradition of praising the Prophet, Sall Allahu 'alaihi wa sallam.  This na'at remains one of my all-time favourite ones to this day.  I hope you all like it too.

This particular recording was recorded live at blessed evening in November 2009, at the Ta'leef Collective in Fremont California.

naaz kar tu aye Halima, sarvar-e-kawnayn par
gar lagi achhi to teri, jhopdi achhi lagi
-----Gloat, O Halima, over the Master of both universes
-----Of all the mud huts, it is yours that he liked most.
