The sun comes up
finding her dust bunnies dancin', in the hazy light
under the flower pots leaning up against the wall
An empty bottle of vodka just laughing at me
Can't find Alex
Johnny is face down on the couch
Have not seen Sacha in weeks

First thought is not about the time
It’s about the color of the sky
(whether it matches the blue) I was tryin' to shake off 
last night

This is the weather we agreed upon
Right?
Moments, not minutes.
Beauty, not judged on a line 
All forgotten now
A life measured in good times 

From the apartment below

Beats the engine hard, (easy boy don't break it)
A soundtrack for making love, strong and dark

long ago I started 
Drinkin' away that kinda energy

outside his lines

Wanted to tell him, I have saved every sunset

Instead of being real, not just being fine
Difficult to explain a full stomach that has nothing to do with food

Late,  my first thought is not about the time
With a story about a stranger on the bus

Living out a sad 
example of potential
all making a funny belief

The way you look in the candlelight is real
