Visiting the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, I entered a gallery that felt particularly resonant. I decided to record a little whistling improvisation, there and then. At the end of it, a guard entered the gallery, and I became a bit nervous. "The acoustics are so good," I said sheepishly. "It's okay," she said, smiling. "I know the song."
