Luys de Narváez was a Spanish composer and virtuoso of the vihuela during the 16th century. The Renaissance vihuela is a string instrument akin to a guitar, typically featuring six double strings made of gut, much like a lute. It enjoyed greater popularity than the lute in Spain during the Renaissance era. In my endeavor, I sought to preserve the original sound, interpretive style, and the distinctive Renaissance ambiance of this charming, age-old composition.
