Hey everyone! Not my usual genre for SoundCloud but I've been meaning to put a session together with a nice melodic deep jazz house vibe for a while now. Inspired by the London-based, Slip 'n' Slide label, who knocked out an awesome series of "Jazz in the House" volumes starting back in mid 90's. Still in my vinyl collection today, the series included various work from artists like Master at Work, Joey Negro, Jazzanova to name but a few. Anybody who has followed me over these past few years will know that Michael Gray’s original production’s and remixes feature heavily in my sets. Everything he touches turns to gold and I look forward to every one of his releases. I have followed Michael’s career for almost 30 years now and decided it’s definitely time I paid tribute to his masterful work. I wanted to create a compilation combining old with new, mixing some of my favourite tracks from his early days as his aliases Robot man and Full Intention with music partner Jon Pearn such as Ready For This, Tears, So In Love With You, I Love America and Sweetest Day Of May with some of his latest releases like his excellent remixes of Reel People - Can’t Stop, The Sgt. Slick version of the Adeva classic - I Thank You and Donna Allen’s - Serious as well his his latest releases on his own Sultra Record Label like Invincible and the fantastic Promo version of his latest release - Never Let You Down. I wanted this tribute to feature tracks that I haven’t previously used in any of my sets already available on Soundcloud, the few tracks that have already featured, on this one I have played the equally as good Dub versions. The set has 32 amazing tracks, 5 of which are as of yet Unreleased DJ Only remixes. I really hope everyone enjoys listening to this mix as much as I have compiling and recording it. I would also like to say a huge thank you to the main man himself Michael Gray for all of his fantastic hard work over these past decades for giving us all this wonderful music, I Can’t wait to see what you produce in the future !!

Michael Gray Tribute Mix

DJ since the early´s 80´s, I start DJing in bars (No Sense) then in Clubs (Resident DJ at Lux and KoolKat) and also hosting some Radio shows..
After 10 years, stopped mixing professionally. 
Influenced by the harmonic sound, beat and groove of Jazz, Soul, Funk and Disco music since very young.
Nowadays House Music is my preference but never forgetting that (old) sound that influenced all those new ones.
