It's a quiet track. I turn up the volume a couple of times to get to the happy reggae rhythm so beloved by many of us. The tune itself seems relatively straightforward, and fairly gentle. Nonetheless, somewhere in its innards Bob Marley stirs. He cheers the producer on. Go, he says, go.

Any Time You Like is an acoustic lullaby written mainly for my younger son. One of those 'I'll be there for you' kind of songs, which he can use against me when I forget his birthday one day in the future.
