Nick Newman specializes in producing electronic music that can best be classified as Organic House and Electronica. Deriving influences from Techno and Trance, the British-born artist has fashioned a deep melodic style that is characterized by its warm meditative quality, and ethereal textures. Based in Atlanta, Newman has been recognized by industry-leading labels including The Soundgarden, Guy J’s Armadillo Records, Manual Music, Stripped Digital, and more. His intuitive melodies appeal to a broad global audience, as listeners experience an instant connection to his music. In 2013, Newman released his first tracks under the name Seamless Beat. In contrast to Newman’s current sound, Seamless Beat’s tracks ranged from darker Techno and Progressive Breaks to Ambient soundscapes. Seamless Beat’s first album, Colors, was released on the legendary label JOOF Recordings. It was listed on Beatport’s Progressive House Top 10 Release Chart for several weeks and received favorable reviews from leading music magazines. Newman stopped producing as Seamless Beat in 2016. After further refinement, he fully reinvented himself as a true Organic/Electronica House artist and released his first productions as Nick Newman in January of 2019. His new sound garnered much attention and made frequent appearances in the sets of leading DJ’s such as Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Nick Warren, Airwave, Antrim, Solid Stone, Basil O’Glue, Nick Varon and more. 2022 was a milestone year for Newman with release of his debut artist album, Wonder of You. His album, including 12 songs ranging from the Organic House to the Downtempo Electronica genre, was a deep, melodic, and introspectively beautiful masterpiece. As a DJ/producer, Newman appreciates the sounds of fellow artists Budakid, Robbie Akbal, Gai Barone, Guy J, Navar, Pole Folder, Yuriy from Russia, Edvard Hunger, Stanisha and MUUI, among others. Looking ahead, Newman hopes to continue his uprising and become a fulltime DJ/producer in the future.

For REC008, we have the honour of showcasing an exciting artist from Switzerland: Manuel Moreno. Manuel has been active in the scene for many years, with releases on labels such as Ritter Butzke, Amaeo, Hive Audio and Kamai Music. In addition to being an active resident at Hive for over ten years, he is well-known for creating iconic brands such as his event series 'Au Revoir' and co-owning the agency 'Send Return'.

His two-track EP 'Elysian' highlights his diverse range of sounds. The title track impresses with a steady groove, captivating chord stabs, and layered synths that demand attention — the perfect closing track for any set. 'Swedenborg', on the other hand, reveals his darker side. A hypnotic, rumbling foundation is elevated by the magnificent voice of Natasha Waters, resulting in a track that will shake dance floors.

To round out the release, two exciting producers join the Reconsider roster. For the main track, Predex, a promising producer from Istanbul, gives 'Elysian' a melodic yet groovy touch. 'Swedenborg' is reinterpreted by none other than James Harcourt, who transforms it into a dark, tribal dancefloor belter with his signature progressive sound.

BIO:

Pedro Sanmartín A.K.A. Basic Shape was born in Barcelona in 1981 and has always seen art and later music as a way of inhabiting the world. 
His background in Fine Arts led him naturally into music production and vinyl mixing, not as performance, but as craft and method.

He began his professional DJ career in 2005 after a period immersed into the club culture of Germany, which felt less like a scene and more like a way of moving through life. 
Since then, he has shaped a sober, attentive sound, somewhere between the spaces of house and techno and electro that few explore with ease.


His productions have been released on labels such as Seven Villas, Everything Will Be Ok, Loot Recordings, Univack,Tronic and Tenampa to name a few and have found their way into the playlists of artists like Hernán Cattáneo, Pablo Bolívar, Christian Smith, and Danny Howells. 
In 2020, he released on Seven Villas Music his debut  album "Unfolding Nature," a record that avoids clichés in favor of simplicity and essence.


Pedro has collaborated with platforms like Ibiza Global Radio,Ibiza Sonica, Deepersounds, and British Airways, and has performed live and DJ sets at events such as the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) or Electro Beach and at venues like Nitsa Club, Razzmatazz, Insomnia, and Culture Box name a few, sharing lineups with artists like Guy J, Rrose, Pablo Bolívar, and Nhar.


A prolific producer and DJ, Pedro Sanmartín has carved his own signature sound within the electronic global landscape: a deep, emotive, and hypnotic form of house, techno and electro that resists shortcuts and spectacle. His music unfolds quietly, offering those who listen a rare space shaped by patience, depth, and slow revelation.
