Death Has Lost Its Sting

I'm not writing a full description on this iteration of the track, but I'm too proud of what I've written with this preliminary sketch not to share it.

With a creak, Nyla opens the doors to the throne room. A lone window at the back illuminates the space, now dusted and cold, a hollow shell of what once was.

The flag of her family crest is nowhere to be seen, replaced by the accursed banner of her foe; and sitting at the throne, the aged wretch looks up, hands together in front of his face.

"So... the reclaimer of legend has come after all."

He slowly stands, walking to one side to face a pillar as Nyla cautiously unsheathes her sword.

"...come to finalize your family's legacy. Of corruption. Desolation. Destruction."

"No, D'naro. To end yours."

"Tch. So gallant. And for what? Do you think I will let you, young girl, destroy my life's work? To tear down this nation I have fought so many hard years to save?"

"Look out the window. You've not saved anyone."

"Oh, but haven't I? Aren't the people safe? Aren't they secure? Aren't they stronger than ever? You, like your forefathers, would be content to squander the throne, to sit in luxury while our enemies grow ever stronger, plotting to destroy us all."

"You vile cur. Look, as the people are dressed in rags and our cities burn!"

"You have inspired such furies, naïve maiden! You-"

"I have come to unseat your perversion. Your terrors end now. You will not defile this nation, this people, any further."

"Hmph. Spoken just as your father would."

He turns and stands in front of the throne, sword now at the ready, cape unfurled...

"I have not lived just to die. As long as blood runs through my veins I will fight to my last breath to see my people free once more."

"Tch. You fancy yourself a warrior queen? Then come - die like one."

PLEASE NO SPOILERS! I haven't actually played Ch3+4 yet, I've just listened to the music and really like this track in particular; I don't want fine details about the story until I've played it for myself.

[COVER WIP (v2)] Deltarune - Black Knife

Trying to replicate the style of Portal 2: Repercussions' OST (by @russiangodfather). It's a huge inspiration of mine and I'm working towards Portal 2 modding as a (major) side project, and I'm aiming to draw heavy inspiration from the look and feel of Repercussions footage for said project. As such, I want the music to feel similar (but different enough to stand on its own). Hopefully I'm on the right track :)

Oi oi! I'm Jeremy, a 24-year-old aspie PK (pastor's kid), multimedia creative, and seminary student. I don't post here often (sadly I have lost my muse), but I will try to amend that at first opportunity.

I'm planning on (and procrastinating on) starting some indie game projects in the near future, and I'm also working on some story-related content and artwork.

Long-time followers/friends may remember me better as peef or peefTube, but I've been working towards rebranding to spiro9 as of late. Speaking of, one of the best ways to get in contact with me is via Discord, which of course is spiro9 like it is here.

Don't expect any sort of professional quality work, despite the fact I really want to put that kind of thing out. I'm just a guy working on stuff here and there, and my days of working with other people are probably behind me now.
