When I was a child, my birth mother never loved me. I felt it in the way she looked at me, in the way she spoke—cold, distant, as if I were nothing more than a burden. No matter how hard I tried, nothing I did was ever enough for her.  But my father… he was different. He never turned away from me, never made me feel unwanted. He was my safe place, the only warmth in a home that always felt too cold.  Then, one day, everything changed. My birth mother gave up on me completely, walking away without a second thought. I thought that was the end—that I would always carry this emptiness inside me.  But then, my father met her. A kind, gentle woman from his workplace. At first, I didn’t know what to think. Would she be like my birth mother? Would she see me as a mistake, too?  She didn’t.  Instead, she smiled at me like I was worth something. She listened, she cared. She chose me, not because she had to, but because she wanted to.  And just like that… she became my mom. ❤️
