Quarantime Coronicles Vol. 2 - Rub A Dub Special (Reggae Mixtape By Mihaal)

Long before Covid, long before quarantine, Peeni Walli Sound from Europe teamed up with the upcoming Jamaican artist Swashii for this short and spicy mixtape full of dubplate specials.

Swashii was born in Kingston’s Kencot in 1994 and 13 years later got his first opportunity to visit a recording studio by the late great Sugar Minott. He started his career as a deejay already in 2008 and among his major influences are the 1980s legends Eek-A-Mouse and Lone Ranger, 1990s stars Sizzla and Shabba Ranks, as well as the 21st century celebrities like Vybz Kartel and Popcaan. https://www.facebook.com/swashiimusic/

The 18-minute mixtape “Versatile: From Kingston to Europe” consists of nine dubplates voiced specifically for this occasion. Not only does the mixtape showcase Swashii’s lyrical talent and musical versatility, but it is also a testament to the truly global nature of current reggae and dancehall music. The wealth of cultural influences meets authentic Kingston dancehall style!

Quarantime Coronicles Vol. 7 - Love Duets Special (Reggae & Dancehall Mixtape By Ripclaw)

Peeni Walli Sound was founded on Prague's Cross club garden in August 2003. Ripclaw and Mihaal were the founding members, in 2005 selecta Ondreej joined the sound and between 2006-2010 Cocoman was the MC in juggling and clash dances. From 2014 to 2020, DJ White Rum (aka SRBD) was a member of the sound. In 2016, our crew grew, welcoming Bondy and Captain P (formerly Rasta Pasta Kroo). In September 2019, we welcomed our newest member: Sixty Baht from Berlin.

In these days the 6 members of Peeni Walli Sound operate in Czech Republic, Switzerland, Germany and Florida so get in touch if you're near ;)

In the past we played in Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, Malta, India, USA, and all around Czechia, delivering the widest variety of reggae music: from ska, rocksteady, roots & dub through rub-a-dub and early digital, up to the latest new roots and dancehall. Since 2018, we are participating in a Czech radio show Bruk Out at Radio 1 (91.9 FM).
