This piece was commissioned by Brasilian guitarist Fabricio Mattos and composed by Chinese guitarist/composer Lin Huanqi. It's a variation on a theme of Chinese Guqin. The Guqin is a very traditional Chinese instrument often played by poets and aristocrats. Many of the music of Guqin express the unique serenity of China, it represents the soul of Chinese people.

It is raining outside, pouring rain, grey sky... feels like want to play the song of Chu. Never played it before. Pulling out the notation from Xi Lu Tang ( from Ming dynasty),  grouping out the first part... I am totally in this atmosphere. 屋外下著傾盆大雨, 突然覺得很楚歌, 便抓出西麓堂, 淒涼調, 很適合現在的氛圍, 但從未彈過此曲, 只能先摸摸起頭泛音段...
