Our big return to Bogotá at the end of 2024 was a multi-generational techno showcase including British legend Mark Broom and two emerging stars, RUIZ OSC1 and Zisko, who performed a hybrid set.

 Italian DJ and producer Peja is no stranger to !Organism having released on the label a number of times, so he makes a welcome return in January 2016 with another excellent new EP. 

Constantly on the move within the techno realm, Peja's music has found its way into the bags of leading techno tastemakers including Carl Cox. After a decade in the game he really can speak freely through his machines, and when you factor in a great remix from Trapez's Florian Meindl, it all adds up to a stellar package. 

Kicking things off is the slick 'Supernal', a white knuckle roller with grainy hi hats cutting through smooth kicks and bass. Freaky vocal stabs and funky drum fills help add drama to the groove as it rolls on relentlessly. Then comes the frenzied 'Bawbee', which is the sort of paranoid, mania inducing cut that will grab the attention of any warehouse with its monstrous kicks and scurrying, burrowing synths. 

The final original is the masterfully intense 'Carton', a dark and foreboding wall of sound that is detailed with little flashes of static electricity, incendiary hi hats and a euphoria inducing back light of glowing white pads. 

Stepping up to remix, is renowned German Florian Meindl, and he decides to strip things back to a deeply subterranean place where big kicks and hooky stabs are backed by a subtle sea of pads that rise up and up through the mix. It is a heady, hypnotic affair that really sucks you in. 

One for those who like their techno pure and proper, Peja has really come up with the goods once again here.

He Is The Voice I Hear’ is my first all new work since “Lady Of Sorrows.” It’s been a long journey from there to here. I’m so thrilled to continue the story and finally realize my dream of bringing together an ensemble of live musicians.

This record was a joy to create with my engineering and production partner, Rupert Murray, Davide Rossi on strings and Christoforo LaBarbera on keys. The vinyl was mastered and cut by Tim Xavier for Manmade Mastering.  We’ve also put some special touches into the design of the record itself.

The Black Madonna - He Is The Voice I Hear

Peja (real name Amedeo Mazzotti) is an underground techno producer from Rome. His journey through the music industry started ten years ago with his first release, but his music culture has been built long before.

Vinyl collector and 360° music listener, Peja has been influenced from a lot of music from the underground record shops in Rome and his roots has been based on turntables and vinyl.

His sets in the most influential countries for the electronic music, like Holland ,Germany or France, helped to increase and maturate a specific and rough sound for his sessions.

Peja’s peculiarity is always present in his music, big room bass and an overdrived sound like his “Acid planet” is a great example of the power from his tracks.

Fastidious in the studio, Peja approaches his production with attention to detail ,he is always ready to capture and interpret his feelings to insert in his productions and always aim to give his own interpretation of a track.

His numerous releases led him to collaborate and be remixed from well known names in the techno scene like Roberto Capuano, Florian Meindl, Rich Jones just to name a few, and his tracks has been charted and played by the most influential artists around.
