q. pls introduce yourself

> My name is Gary Hunter. I run a small music website called Low End Theorists and the Theory Therapy mix series, plus co-host a couple of radio shows with Daniel Patrin.

q. is there a story behind the mix? how did it come together?

> I recorded it after a long walk in Sydney. It’s the middle of winter just now but we tend to get really clear crisp days. I moved here about 4 years ago from Scotland and I’ll never take for granted how nice it is to wake up to sun most days. I wanted the mix to provide a snapshot of that feeling. Really calming, almost quasi-religious tracks.

q. what would be the ideal circumstances to enjoy your mix?

> Maybe in one of those floatation tanks. Or as you fall asleep.

q. describe a favourite object in your living room...

> My TV or my old, but still great CDJ-350s.

q. are you working on any projects right now (music or not music)?

> We’re turning Theory Therapy into a label. We’ll be announcing our first release in the next week or so.

Suggested by @martaetlescoquillages, this show explores the link between titles and their atmospheres. Approaching music as imaginary stories, they invites you to a meditative and psychedelic journey. Curious about the power of words and the sensitive aspects of sonorities, this project tries to retranscribe concretely the abstract story told by the music. For that, a poem has been written using the words that appear in order to the tracklist, some others have been added to create the transitions.

Fourth World Problems I

First Outsiders appointment for Kashual Plastik, vinyl, tape and art label, founded for hedonism and free-spirited music lovers. The short run releases shall be dedicated to the underground and casually combine selected tunes from all kinds of music.

For the first edition, Kashual Plastik welcomes Brannten Schnüre, experimental dark folk group from the south of Germany, followed by a live recording by US electronic duo Georgia. Closing this 2-hour music journey, a melodic droning recording by Geheimnis Der Gräber.
