A bit of background on every track:

*We Were Young* can be seen as a nostalgic homage to time passing by. Both chilled with its bouncy baseline and wild with its airy arpeggios, the track is meant as an unapologetic celebration of the energy of youth, with all its candour and stubbornness alike.

*Ghost* is a wink at the opportunities that we believe to get permanently closed as we make our way through life. It starts with a solid groove to hang onto, like a window on the horizon. But halfway through, everything seems to collapse before the exploding into a new energy, reminding us that nothing is fixed and new paths can always be open.

*Treasures* is an invitation to gratitude, to enjoy what life has brung to us so far and what more is to be discovered. The track follows repetitive rhythmic arpeggios that accelerate periodically, like waves crashing on a beach, with each one of them leaving behind its dose of inspiration and experience, like little treasures that one should learn to cherish.

*Rain Dance* is a celebration of the most unexpected aspects of life, it starts with a steady beat over bass drones but suddenly opens to synth-wave style arpeggios, mixing elements that have little to do together in appearance to create something entirely new.

Finally, *Rabbit Hole* represents a dive into the divine, when the inspiration strikes and we get in the zone. With its extra long break, this track intentionally doesn't respect the standards of electronic music production, as an ultimate reminder that rules are here to be broken.

What is love for you?
I am the father of a 3yo little girl, so when I think about the love she's the first thing that springs to mind!
Love is the ultimate necessity to give without needing a return. Giving love to others around us is the most generous act we are capable of, while receiving love is what makes us bloom.
I would have never made this EP without the love and support of the love of my life, my partner in crime, my best friend: my beautiful wife who pushed me to share the music I had inside of me with the world.

What's the closest thing to real magic for you?
We all experience magic every day as the driving force that binds the universe together. I became Buddhist a few years ago which gave me a way to connect to that energy. With this in hand, you can overcome any obstacle in your life and you become the only architect of your happiness and one of the people around you. It doesn't beat Dr Strange but we're not too far off :)

What's the most useless talent you have?
I can make my eyes tremble. Don't ask me how, I just can. Yes, I know it's creepy.

Both Original Mixes by Pelikaan, Distant Voice and Beyond, flow like crystalline, cool springs, reviving parched eardrums. Three distinct Remixes by Matija & Richard Elcox, VTZN, and Ed Noodle, each carrying an icy sonic edge, pierce the viscous night sky and dispel urban heatwaves.

The samples from The White Lotus, which appears frequently throughout, veil the chill-infused EP with the mysterious mist of summer and island.

My first live session in Madrid, swinging over a 2 hours set from bouncy house to darker techno, including a hint of jazzy beats, a splash of latin rhythms and of course lots of love. When I moved to Madrid in 2017, I have started to let myself influenced by the retro vibe of the city, vibrant heritage from the 80s movida. Here I have mixed it with my more "traditional" deep house influences, creating a unique set that captures how this city makes me feel.
Thanks to Cafe La Palma, it was a real pleasure to play in this iconic Malasaña venue.

Somewhere between trip-hop, downtempo and the unknown, French producer PELIKAAN twists genre into something raw, dreamy, and defiantly unlabelled.

Every track is a detour - misty, hypnotic, a little off the rails. Think jazz in a dub club, house haunted by ghosts, African percussion crashing through a fog of reverb.
More compass than captain, PELIKAAN doesn’t lead: he opens doors and dares you to get lost. The real trip starts where the map ends.
