This is a track we did for the awesome local org. Love Detroit for their holiday mixtape. Had to have a super quick turn around time on this & so we wrote, recorded & finished this joint in essentially 2 days, providing our own take on the holiday classic "Lil Drummer Boy".

Ours, however, is less about an actual drummer, & more about the one beating everyday inside your chest. So hey...

i wanted to put a bunch of rappers i knew onto one song. i had a beat and no topic. i had no idea how it would turn out. just wanted to have some fun and make a song. 

i alerted all the potential players and everybody was pretty eager to get down. 

the only stipulation i gave to the emcees was to base the beginning of their rhymes on the previous rapper's ending. 

because there was so many people, it was slightly difficult to get everybody in at the same time BUT, the majority of the recording was done over a few days. nobody rewrote anything but a couple of us (one of them being me) re-recorded our verses to clean up the delivery. 

other than that, everybody pretty much knocked out the writing and recording very quickly. 

rufio jones set it off. he later apologized (for no reason). ask either one of us why if you're curious. 

this counts as the first collaboration between myself and doc waffles, e-fav, and nolan the ninja.
