The wet sounds at the beginning are a reference to Pendulum’s decade-long hiatus. Immersion ended with splashing water sounds in Encoder, and after 10 years, Pendulum begins again with aquatic sounds and breathing in Driver.

Amidst the uncertainty of last year, I wanted to return with something that felt like a different take on drum & bass.

When I made Odyssey, it instantly sounded like a statement track - something that could intro a bigger project. The vocals were written to reflect the dawn of something new and hopeful, a chance that things could return to normal and people would come together again 🤍
