I guess this song means that a woman is hoping that this time she is strong, not physically, but mentally, so that she won't talk that no good man back into her life. Not you Otis Roy in the picture here.

8. I'm Strong,

Married couple having problems because of economic issues. I wrote this song because I believe that many divorces stem more from economic issues than because they fall out of love or meet someone else.

Woman sounds like she is cheating on her man, but she is really cheating again on her diet.

14. I'm Cheating Again

I actually wrote this because I rented a truck for my over 600 puppets, plus P.A. system, and then fog came in and I was terrified, so I wrote Truck Driving woman to make me brave.

I heard a song called two-story house. It said, Now that I am rich and famous, I wish I was poor again.  My answer to this song is, It is not that good being poor.

10. It's Not That Good Being Poor

Briefly, I taught myself to play guitar and began writing songs about my family. Then I started adding neighbors. I met Otis Roy and he introduced me to the real Jimmie Rogers and a bunch of musicians who sixty years later were singing his songs. I began backing Otis and we performed in fairs and festivals all over Souther California, Cable TV, Radio. Then I met Bob Shreves in a park and I was now writing more country tunes. He said I go into recording. I told him I didn't know a thing about it. We recorded four songs and my first time on stage was in front of 2,000 people at the Orange Co, Cowboy Club. Bob got a band together of great musicans and we became a popular country band in a rock hard area.
