A track that Susan Thomas and I wrote in the early 1980's.  Sadly, Susan is no longer with us, so I felt that this should be posted, so that whilst she may be gone, she is not forgotten...

The band was called "Touch", managed by Peter Felstead, who also managed Deacon Blue.  That's us, in the contemporaneous photo.

What ended up being the first track on the 3 track demo for Warner Brothers.

A relentless groove from Roman on bass, which actually came from a riff he wrote for a Dave Welsh album session that I hired him for.

Solid as a rock drumming from Geoff Dugmore.

This was about as "rock" as Raising Cain ever got.  You can barely hear Susan Thomas giving it everything on the BVs in the chorus!

They ended up re-recording it for A&M, without me producing, but that version never got released either!  Of course, it didn't have the "dark intensity" of my version for Warners (no Geoff on drums!), but then I would say that wouldn't I!!
