Vocals, back-up vocals, mixing and mastering by Michela Vazzana.  Written and composed by Dan Peek, included in the album of America "Homecoming" in 1972. This song actually was written long before and dedicated to Dan's wife to be Catherine Maberry Peek....: "I met Dan when I was 15. Was not allowed to go on a date until I was 16. My birthday is Valentines Day and that was when we went out for the first tiime. My mum did everything she could think of to keep us apart. But we were both in love. So he wrote that song to say "you have to make up your mind, me or your mum." Of course I chose Dan. I ran away from school in England and flew to Los Angeles and we were married when I turned 18. Legal age to marry without parents permission. Mum never talked to me for a year! But it all worked out. we had 38 exciting loved filled years together and I cherish every memory. Oh , and Dan was VERY VERY good to my mum."... Love always win at the end!  This is my version, I hope you like it and feel free to comment and share it... <3

A very simple version of this wonderful song by America. Vocals and mixing by me. Guitar by Mark Taylor. The little nise underneeth is due to the recording of guitar and I couldn't reduce it. "I Need You," released in 1972, is the second single by the band America from their eponymous debut album America. The song was written by Gerry Beckley.
I hope you like this version. I just used 4 tracks for my vocals, and like I often say, the simplest things somethimes are the best ones.
