Trend setting Canadian label My Favorite Robot is all ready to offer up some scorching
summer sounds in the form of their tidy three track sampler EP. It features three hot artists
and a trio of cuts that fit in perfectly with their singular MO.

Swiss outfit Animal Trainer, of labels like Hive Audio and Still Vor Talent and others, go
first. Their excellent ‘Aeron’ track is their first ever on this label and is a walloping great
house cut with huge rubber kicks, spin tingling melodies and the sort of oversized bassline
that will thoroughly destroy dance floors this summer. It is a patient, cosmic tinged track
with a subtle sense of tension and release that really sweeps you up.

Next up is Italian producer and DJ, Slok, who has been churning out beats for almost
twenty years. In that time he has amassed credits on plenty of top labels including One
Records, Circle Music and of course MFRR and has previously enlisted the MFR
production outfit to provide vocals on his music. Here we find him in a doleful deep house
mood with sombre chords laid over slick beats on ‘Dreamachine’. It is a spaced out and
hypnotic track that will allow for lots of introspective moments.

Finally, Valencia talent Darlyn Vlys is a prolific producer who has been active for five years
but has already released more than ten EPs on all sorts of labels like Avotre, Terminal M
and Suara. His ‘Butterfly’ track is eerie and haunted, with wide open spaces sucking you
in. Thin pads, starry melodies and groaning bass all make for epic listening as you are
trapped in the middle of it all and this one is perfect for dead of the night moments of pure
emotion.

This summer sampler offers up a hat trick of class club hits that remind us just why My
Favourite Robot is one of the most talked about labels of the day.

Signal Flow offer up ‘All Alone’ featuring vocalist Kevin Knapp via Leftroom Limited thisAugust, backed with Miguel Campbell and Locked Groove remixes.

Signal Flow is the collaborative guise of PillowTalk’s Michel Tello & Ray Zuniga, two California born now Brooklyn, NY based producers and DJ’s most notably know for their Touch Of Class Records imprint. Since the inception of the alias the pair have released material for the likes of Culprit, My Favorite Robot, Wolf + Lamb, and now Leftroom here where they offer up a fresh single entitled ‘All Alone feat. Kevin Knapp’.

The original mix kicks things off and sees the outfit fuse jazzy electric piano licks, smooth pad lines and snaking sub bass grooves with Kevin Knapp’s signature emotive vocal styling’s. Miguel Campbell steps up next to rework ‘All Alone’, instilling his modern take on disco to things with funk-infused guitar licks, loose rhythms and retro resonant synth licks.

Rounding off the package is Hotflush artist Locked Groove’s ‘Cinematic Treatment’ of ‘All Alone’ and as the title would suggest the Belgian artist remould’s the original number into a detailed, subtly unfolding and intriguing composition with bubbling acid grooves, elongated pads and bass tones and emotive string lines.

After a stellar debut performance at this year’s Coachella festival and two years since their chart-climbing ‘Benediction’ release, Hot Natured unleash new material for Emerald City with the anthemic ‘Off World Lover’ remixed by Will Clarke.

‘Off World Lover’ rides the path between discerning house anthem and enduring pop classic beautifully, the subtleties of Ali Love’s vocals masterfully executed amidst Hot Natured’s trademark futuristic analogue sounds. The labour and evolution of the band is evident in its simplicity and matured approach, and the result an instant classic. 

Rising Bristolian producer Will Clarke strips back ‘Off World Lover’ and shapes it for the club circuit through buoyant beats and voluptuous breakdowns, both set for release on Emerald City, the newest label venture from Jamie Jones and Lee Foss, on 18th September.

Arguably the biggest dance music act to break out of the underground circuit, with three well-acclaimed singles under their belt, ‘Reverse Skydiving’, ‘Forward Motion’ and ‘Benediction’, Hot Natured are a four-piece consisting of previously established and accomplished music producers Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Ali Love and Luca Cazal. Since their debut album smashed the charts at the end of 2013 they have taken an eighteen month hiatus from releasing, burying themselves deep in the studio working on their follow up, set for release in 2016. 

The roots of Will Clarke’s sound stem from both his home town of Bristol, and his seasonal home in Ibiza, which have forged a style that fuses the best of Bristol’s bass elements with the upfront house music sensibilities of the white isle. His productions have appeared on labels such as Defected, Dirtybird, Southern Fried and he recently launched his own label, Cut A Rug.

La Fleur - Make A Move EP will be released on 12" vinyl and digital on October 19th!

The First Lady of Watergate, La Fleur, is back again with a massive three track EP titled 'Make A Move' and, in true La Fleur fashion, it bridges classic aesthetics with future concepts. By employing what is a uniquely La Fleur palette of sound, she has created three distinctly individual cuts resulting in the perfect recipe for brilliant and undeniably body shaking dance floor burners. 

Kicking things off is the title track 'Make A Move' and it hits hard. Vintage House hi-hats and top end percussion balance perfectly with a grand bassline that is as memorable as it is gripping. Descending tones, a sultry female vocal, and a long sustained string break up the constant borage of manic euphoria creating a timeless club tale that will never leave the DJ bag. 

Following the title track is another bomb eerily similar to the previous tune, but yet completely owning it's own identity. 'Just In Time' seamlessly balances the wash of lush pads as it canvases a rolling and unrelenting bassline as a looping female vocal circles the room slowly rearing itself and then quickly hiding again. Classic piano chord stabs and a ripping ride cymbal keep the track at full tilt as it ascends to full on climax and, before it's over, 'Just In Time' has already been burned into your memory. 

Wrapping up the EP is the most organic of all the tracks, 'Result'. With its foundation laid in live, natural drums, it grooves hard while a cosmic flute-like wind instrument calls out through the dense, yet soft bass. As all the sounds culminate into a trippy version of the primary vibe, 'Result' quickly drops back into its pristine, original idea from before the break, flawlessly designing a perfect dance floor hit. La Fleur has always been on fire and without a doubt consistent, but with this EP she is clearly at the top of her game and we couldn't be more thrilled to present to you, 'Make A Move'.
