This week's Spin City Show that aired live on myhouseradio.fm celebrated it's 4th anniversary of being on air. For this special occasion I had a special guest on board for all of your ear lobes. None other than the one and only Eddie C. 

I kicked things off with a few new things, along with a bunch of tracks I've loved, and rinsed, throughout the years. I then handed over to Eddie C who delivered an absolute masterclass from the get go. One of those sets that absolutely grabs you by the short and curlies, and doesn't let go.

Art Jefferson is a DJ, music journalist, and photographer.

With a lengthy DJ history spanning over two decades, Art Jefferson continues to bring cutting edge sounds of various genres, spearheading distinct vibes and creating an exciting listening experience for crowds. He has produced a number of radio shows, 
introducing audiences to acts across the globe, all with the same intentiion as his job behind the decks - to foster a specific mood of audible pleasure. 

As a writer and music journalist he has covered and interviewed various artists / producers spanning a multitude of genres. Whether covering a post-punk band from London, a U.S.
chart-topping artist, or a German electronic outfit, Art Jefferson’s ear for groundbreaking acts has made him a  modern day tastemaker. He contributed to Lukasz Polowcyzk’s latest book ‘Aint About Me’.

Art Jefferson’s approach to photography is no different having shot music, fashion, as well as cultural and political journalism. His work ‘Village People’, documenting the modern cultural shift of Dulwich Village, exhibited in London.

The element of style is something that yet again, plays a piece of the overall puzzle. 
Inspired by everything from 50s rock & roll to late 60s proto-punk, on down to 70s soul and even glam, there is always the embedding of culture and the sonics behind the eras that factor into Art Jefferson’s inspiration behind his delving into the world of fashion.

As  a committed music fan for more than 25 years, collecting and listening to all styles of music, it was no surprise that Pepe embarked on a DJing career in 1994. His first gig was at the Distrito club in Palma de Mallorca, playing ambient/chill out sets. He went on from here to become a well known Chill Out DJ playing sets at the ARS Festival in Madrid and of course the world famous Sonar Festival in Barcelona.  A 4 year spell from 1995 onwards brought him into contact with DJ;s like Kiko Navarro.  In the year 2000 INSELRADIO closed and Pepe began a new radio show on Insel radio, which was also broadcast on the Internet. The show concentrated mainly on house music and he had guest dj sets from people like Joey Negro, David Morales, Jazzanova, Kyoto Jazz Massive, Mettle Music, & Sidewinder, amongst others. These new styles of music had now started to filter into Pepe;s DJ sets and it opened him up to a whole new audience. He had started to get bookings at all the best local and national clubs such as Pacha Mallorca, Privilege Ibiza, Otto Zutz Barcelona, Deep Madrid & Kapital Madrid. The end result was that Pepe secured residencies at Garito Cafe, Club 113 and El Cielo Cafe. In 2003 Pepes first music production was released on DJ Chus Stereo Cool records titled Guitar Vibe. The reactions to the track were really good from a number of DJs as well as TV stations, including Sky Sports UK who have been using the track as a soundbed for their Spanish Football show. Pepe is responsible for the musical selection of Grupo Cappuccino, which owns 20 premises across the Balearic Islands. Cappuccino Grand Cafe cd compilation, which will include the best tracks from Pepe..s playlists. So as you can see Pepe is a man with many strings to his bow, someone who has a lot to offer the Musical world through his DJ, Musical Productions and of course to those enjoying a cappuccino in the Balearic Islands.
Now im  currently still hosting a radio show every Sunday on global internet radio https://www.mallorcasunshineradio.com/schedule/ & www.inselradio.com with the show “ The Apartment “ a place to discover my style  and new music from jazz to avant-garde sounds .

For 14 years he has been the musical director of the Cappuccino Group where he musically set up venues in Mallorca, Ibiza, Madrid, Valencia, Marbella and moving his music to the Far East: Lebanon, Dubai, Saudi Arabia also directs the radio station of the brand and in turn, he publishes annually CDs that compile his work for the low brand in the name of Cappuccino Grand Café. At the moment I select the music for the company Globalia / Air Europa to warm up all aircraft of the airline during their journeys both nationally and internationally, as well as call center and Hotels Lua Bay International owned by Company Globalia.
