We're starting the new year with a podcast by Berlin based DJ producer Alivemaex, founder & head of the label STUDIOENNEA. Originally from the Frankfurt area, where he has built a reputation for himself by successfully organizing various club nights including the recently established MIXEDBASSARTS event series, Alivemaex is now an active part of the local techno scene of the German capital. The dark yet melodic sound of his productions perfectly complements the melancholic atmosphere of his new home city and manages to attract fans from both the techno community as well as wider musical audiences. He's definitely an artist that you should keep an eye on in the coming months. Enjoy the new MITSUcast & as always, stay healthy!

1. Gannein - Desiderium : This is a deep, dubby epilogue for the long night. The track settles the mind with a hypnotic, contemplative groove, proving a journey defined by spaciousness can be just as potent as one with force.

2. Vubard : From that quiet space, the project shifts into a grim, haunting underworld. This is a rhythmic score built on a skeletal, percussive framework, its cold precision cutting through the atmosphere with visceral intent.

3. Gannein - Siamese : The undeniable main floor weapon. Forged with precise layers of functionality, this track is built for one purpose: to command the room with relentless, driving force.

4. Gannein - Pocket Full of Funky : The final act offers an optimistic turn. A soulful, Detroit-infused groove and a playful vocal fragment provide a welcome counterpoint, proving even the darkest sonic journeys can end with a moment of light.

Born in Vitoria, Spain, Kike Pravda​'s interest for music comes
since he was a child. His parents worked in a music store, so he always had near as all kind of instruments as analog machines. While his father, electronic musician and sound technician, took home devices such the Roland TR 909 or Monopoly or DX7 Korg keyboards to study for work, Kike played with them and learned to program them, beginning to educate his ear with that today are classics of electronic music without even knowing he was beginning to lay the foundations of his future. This has led him to share stage with world-class artists like Oscar Mulero​, Ben Sims​, Reeko​, Regis, James Ruskin, Takaaki Itoh​ among many others. Given his passion for music, the next step in his career was clear. His first work was on vinyl for Katak Dutch label in2000, under the name Phazer in a duo with his brother. But it was not until 2009 when he saw one of his dreams fulfilled as a producer, published in the Warm Up Recordings label, which released “Fear is the Enemy”, which accompanied a work of Oscar Mulero remix.
However, 2012 is the year when Kike Pravda gives the final step. First, with a new release on Warm Up, “Queen of the damned” composed of two tracks and, again, a remix by Oscar Mulero. And then, with the creation of his own label, SENOID Recordings​, for whose first reference was supported with a remix by Ben Sims and which already has played by hand of reel known artists like Chris Liebing, DVS1, Truncate, Exium, Oscar Mulero, or Marcel Flenger 
Children of Tomorrow​ , Faut Section​, Dust Recs, Injected Poison labels are the last works signed by Kike in 2016 being one of the 100 most charted artists in Resident Advisor.

Pepe CM is a Berlin-based techno DJ who was born and raised in small towns from Veracruz and Tabasco Mexico. His interest for electronic music started at the age of 22, when he delved into the immersive sounds of the genre. A couple of years later, he kickstarted his DJ career by performing at distinct events arranged by up-and-coming collectives in Leipzig's eastern precinct, often within the confines of abandoned buildings. The thriving underground rave culture in both Berlin and Leipzig kindled and propelled his burgeoning passion for Techno music.

In the middle of the year 2022, Pepe CM made a resolute decision to pivot exclusively to vinyl records, becoming an ardent vinyl enthusiast. This transition was instrumental in honing his skills and deepening his connection with the art form. Drawing inspiration from illustrious figures like The Lady Machine, Kaiser, Phara, and Adriana Lopez. His musical foundation draws from the dreamy landscapes of Dub, the introspective ambience of Ambient music, and the captivating rhythms of Hypnotic/Deep-Techno. Yet, above all, it's his deep passion for Techno that stands as the defining cornerstone of this sound.
